Quote from: onepost on December 03, 2025, 01:34:33 PMI'll be the first to concede I've definitely been annoying in my frustration with what's going on. So you're right, I can and will tone down the petulance on it.

I do disagree with the second point - "isn't all that worth getting upset over". The fact we're even on Scoop disputes that IMO. We're MUBB fanatics who spend way too much of our time on a message board. While I may be annoyed with some here, we all want the same thing and I'll always value that shared fandom over petty disagreements.

I look at the on-court results the last calendar year and concerning trend going forward, the unwillingness to work with agents costing us great prospects like Morillo, the numerous fliers we've taken in lieu of annual classes like 2025, a school-wide fascination with an acronym that prioritizes the R at the expense of the V......and I don't see an overreaction. I think we're in a terrible spot and nothing in Shaka's past 5 years and weekly pressers convinces me he thinks anything substantial needs changing. We're just throwing away season(s) in an era you can build a contender overnight.

Can I please like this post 100 times?

We had room for one of Morillo or Alex........we got Alex......likely our top target of the 2 but somebody else can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Much to do about nothing.

They very much wanted and could have brought in both. So I disagree.

Alex had an agent. He is coming to Marquette.

So we missed on Morillo because players are realizing Shaka doesn't put Marquette in the best position to win at a high level.

I'm old enough to remember we were out as an option for Egbuonu when he announced he signed an agent. Missed opportunity. Sad.

If it's any consolation, Morillo is a poor shooter, which Marquette already has too many of.

So at least Shaka went with a shooter in Nash Walker.  Hopefully he pans out.

Iowa State scored 132 points tonight.

Milan Mimcilovic had 27 points on 8-9 from 3. Jamarion Batemon had 26 points on 7-10 from 3.

Hurts even more that we let guys in our own backyard get away when they put up shooting numbers like that. Exactly what we are missing.

Respect the process.5 years to judge
Bring back all the Wojo defense mechanisms
Shaka has earned the right to be defended. We are growing exponentially.

Ah, agents, how short our memory or we just don't know our history.
Remember the medling parents?
The locker room letters?
The "scandals"?
The concerted drive to have a squeaky clean program?

What are our/MU selection criteria for a Scholarship?

Who will be the next academic all american?

O.K. pick, junk yard dog or high basketball I.Q.?

Teal?

You can't seriously think that agents are a blight that will destroy our program when the sport is being professionalized, every professional sport uses agents, and every other high-major program in the country is dealing with agents and getting along just fine.

There will be good agents and bad, just like any other profession, but their existence hasn't stopped any other sport from growing exponentially over the past 30-40 years.
