It's under the radar but MU is in for Austin Nunez and is probably in his top two or three. I expect him to go to ASU though, hes on an OV there this weekend.

He did go to ASU. Committed just now.

Dia commits to Vandy.

@TravisBranham_: Malik Dia, a three-star prospect in the 2022 class, has elected to stay home and play for Jerry Stackhouse and the Vanderbilt Commodores, he tells @247Sports. || Story: https://247sports.com/Article/Malik-Dia-commitment-basketball-Vanderbilt-170342780/ https://twitter.com/TravisBranham_/status/1434629999479382019/photo/1

Not much to see here
MU already has brought in a bundle of 3 stars
Need to start bringing in 4 and 5 star guys to compete with Villanova and separate from Depauls

5 stars are bad, stay away from them.

Right, Willie. Where are we going to go with our collection of 3-stars, like Morsell, Mitchell, Joplin, Ellis, Jones, and Jones? On 14 instances the three major recruiting services misjudged them as 4's. You should give them your number.

Don't believe they are all 4 stars but that still leaves about 7 3 stars, right? But you move the posts by saying 3 major recruiting services. Who might those 3 be?

I didn't "move the posts," Willie, since you didn't give any source for your assessment of our recruits.
It was easy to check 247, ESPN, and Rivals. Oh, and I didn't even include Justin and Oso because Shaka didn't recruit them, but there's another five 4-star ratings bringing the total to 19. That means that eight kids had 4-stars, so I don't know who the other "seven" you're talking about are, unless you're including the walk-ons, which is quite a reach, even for you.

It looks to me they will be in the transfer business hard again next spring, has the NCAA decided what transfers can do now, sit out a year or
play right away, advise?

All players get one "free" transfer in their career, meaning they don't have to sit out before playing. I'm not certain how/if this will impact other exceptions like grad transfers and the waiver process.

And of course, as we learned this season with Garcia (and with many examples from prior years), transfers out happen, too.

So yeah, we could land another good transfer or two ... but we also could lose one or two of ours.

It's too early to know whether this will end up being a net plus for Marquette over time. Hope so!

Woulda preferred Max. We’ll see how he does this year without Max taking up three defenders.

After seeing Joey for a season, Izzo might prefer not having brothers on his team.

Or at the very least being very choosy as to which brother he takes.

McCottry is going to be a P6 level recruit.  Really good size and skill for that age.

2024 in state is absolultely loaded with potential P6 level kids.

I believe TJO is a TM alum.  In the past 35 years has TM produced an alum more decorated?  Besides Ryan Marifke of course.

Happy will always be messed with for money in sports.

Yeah if there was an obvious candidate that would make everyone money, they would drop the full round-robin in a heartbeat.

The problem is there isn't an "obvious candidate" with mutual interest.

The only schools I could imagine the Big East expanded for are Notre Dame, Kansas, and Gonzaga. I don't know that any of those are realistic, but I think that's the level the school needs to be at for the Big East to be interested.
