Spring/ Summer performance impacts rankings more then high school ......for many reasons.....competition level.....exposure to the recruiting gurus .....etc. He missed some of the summer period with Mono.

He is a very good prospect .......but not a consensus 5 star.

I probably put too much faith in 247 sports. Though he was pretty impressive in his 3x3 tournaments.

Nah I'm not interested in doing a coaching comparison thread. It was a  simple enough single post of a top 35 player committing to a former MU coach today. Hence the recruiting and MU connections. That's more on topic than much of this 972 page thread. Seemed simple enough, timely, today, and matter of fact enough. I'm probably in a small number of people who actually post about recruiting related to MU in the recruiting thread.

Not every poster here has an irrational fear of abandonment. Not every poster here has irrational levels of grudge holding dislike for some former players, coaches, or opposing teams. Buzz, Crean, KO, players who left etc...

When does the apparent pain for those few posters end? When does that pain turn to acceptance and/or indifference? (replying and replying in that tone means those people care) Carrying that around only hurts those that carry it. That's unfortunate.

Take this crap to the armchair psychologists thread.

So it wasn't connected to Marquette recruiting? No different than a Herman post about Zaire Wade or any of Giannis' brothers or jeenathen. A recruit that had nothing to do with Marquette being posted in the Marquette recruiting thread. You were the one that got worked up with being compared to Hermains weird posts that have been called out for the same thing.

He did it.  Alex Antetokounmpo and Zaire Wade in one post.  I'm actually almost impressed.

28 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1.5 blocks. Shot 52-percent from the floor.

Greg Elliott's senior season stats.

Is that a prediction for the 2021-22 MU season? I'll take it!

Sure it's different. It had to do with someone that coached at Marquette. It happened that particular day so it was current. It's no different than my post in the soccer thread about a former MU women's soccer assistant winning the national title this year.

The other posts you mentioned by others were about players that were not being recruited by Marquette and were not considering Marquette. No affiliation.

I'm sure some people here follow that sort of thing and may be interested in it, so I posted it. It really wasn't a big deal. I have posted somewhat regularly in this thread and 100% of my posts here have had to do with the topic.
Delivery of message matters. By replying, and then doing so over and over, in this way, you/others are taking one simple post and making it a much bigger deal than it needs to be. This is a good way to get some people to not share MU recruiting info when they have it. I'm fine with talking recruiting in the recruiting thread which is what I've done, more than many here.

Good luck

I'm sure you've been asked before so I apologize, JayBee, but do you see Dawson as a 2-year guy, 3-year guy?
Obviously impossible to predict the entire draft landscape or what strides Dawson takes as of now, but do you think he'll be at Marquette for a few years?

I remember one year there was a spreadsheet of incoming recruits stat lines for each of their games.

Anyone remember who put that together?

Maybe name the thread: Marquette Recruiting as of 1.15.20. To avoid confusion for those lacking in deductive reasoning.

So many variables but I think at least a couple of years. Theo, Koby, Jamal all seniors next year... perhaps after that, he and bb take the full leadership role.. will be an interesting year next season.

Prior Lake falls to 7-5...

I’m assuming you are just slow to getting around to the “Upsets/Surprise results” thread from yesterday.

The same few posters posting things that are neither upsets nor surprise results. But at least this poster here describes himself yesterday in that thread as a “Jilted Lover” and “Petty” when it comes to Sam Hauser.

But I get it. It isn’t really about being on topic.

Projection is alive and well.
l
All because I posted a neutral recruiting post about a former MU  coach. Amazing. You and Glow and Galway made it a thing it didn’t have to be.

Yep, as long as people post disdain only, nothing neutral about former players and coaches that leave, certain other teams, etc..I’m sure there is a chart for it  somewhere.

All a few had to do was skip over one MU related recruiting post if you didn’t like it instead of making it a much bigger thing than it was. Then we would ‘t have to bother with hypocrisy and projection.

I generally don’t post negatively of former players, coaches, other schools etc...others can, go for it.
