That Derrick turnover hurt big time. Had possession, then lead to a three.

Like what I just saw from Wojo - On possession that ended with turnover on over/back violation.  He said JJ:  "If you are open, shoot it."

Even though JJ struggling from 3, and missed a few today, good of Wojo to reinforce if he has a look, he wants him to shoot it.

It seems like we are attacking more without Carlino instead of passing around the perimeter trying to get him an open look.

Sandy should get some more minutes today.

I think second half Sandy needs to play more because sh will adjust to stop penetration. So someone will need to hit from outside. I think they said JJJ is 18% for the year from 3?

MU 9 for 17, with two front end misses(Derrick) on free throws.  SH just as bad though.  Pitiful to watch on line.

Missed five baskets within two feet, including three layups, in first half already. Every game same thing.

JJJ (less his headband) played well, but missed two wide open threes.

SH playing terrible, just terrible.  Gibbs with foul trouble, hope he doesn't go ballistic in second half.

Should be interesting second half.

It is interesting to say the least that this is the best we've looked in awhile.  Like him or not, JJJ forces a lot of action.  He's a lot better going to the basket than Carlino, and forcing help in that regard - which has helped Luke.  Obviously Carlino WAY better of 3 shooter.  Defensively, we are a better team with JJJ playing in Carlino's place.

Maybe Derrick needs to rest for some minutes. Guess fatigue does not impact him.

Derrick and Juan   2-8 FT
Rest of Team   7-9 FT

Our team FT shooting should improve next year just by graduation.

9-17 FTs? My 5'4" 8th grade daughter has made 12-15 FTs in her last two games and I am quite sure I will be paying for her college education. Boggles my mind how bad FT shooting is these days for all teams.

It was a perfect decision.  He was playing great, but was starting to show a bit of fatigue.  Get him a bit of rest and put him right back in where he can continue to play at the top of his game.

JJJ playing well, when he got tired, he made a few mistakes.

Do you really believe a college basketball player gets tired 4:15 seconds into a game?

Could you recap for me the "mistakes" JJJ made in the first 4:15 of the game?

#mubb 30-22. MU: 45.7% eFG, 23.5% OR, 21% TO, 74% FTR. SH: 33.9% eFG, 37.5% OR, 30% TO, 32% FTR.

Offensively, not a good half for #mubb. But, delightful defensively with Seton Hall's 30% turnover rate and 10.5% 2FG%.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Anyone think Steve has looked a little bouncier/quick off and on his feet today?

C'mon Ners. He needed to rest. However that does not apply to Derrick.

Agree on all counts. Thought JJJ was very goog in half#1

I still think if MU made half the bunnies they missed this year, this team is at WORST .500 in BE and still a chance at an at an at large. This certainly is not a good team, but the line is quite fine.

JJJ no headband is strange
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Seen JJJ deliver more and better passes to Luke than perhaps any of our guards this year.  Nice look by Luke to cutting Derrick (smart play by Derrick).  Wonder if he gets assist for the creative pass off the backboard to Juan?   ;D

And here we go with second half blues.

Derrick dribbling at top of key, 2 seconds left and a chuckup.

Every.....Single.....Game..... with no second half adjustments, Wojo saw something and called a TO.

At least Juan is showing up on the boards, and we need all the help there we can get.  But, he's been in a complete funk offensively for virtually all of conference play.

Good point on our defense today. The main knock on jjj was his matador defense. We've been pretty good as a team defensively with him out there big minutes.
