Johnny Football In Rehab
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:36:12 PM »
Don't NFL teams look into every aspect of a first round life, even hiring private investigators?  In other words, an anal exam.

How could this have been missed?  Or did he develop this addition in the last 10 months (since the April draft?)  I think this is a damming indictment of how incompetent the Browns organization is.

Lastly, what addition is he being treated for?  If I had to guess, its a sex addition (from everything I read).

Johnny Manziel enters treatment

Johnny Manziel entered treatment on Wednesday, adviser Brad Beckworth told ESPN.com on Monday through a spokesman for the Browns quarterback.

"Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate, and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step," Beckworth said.

"On behalf of Johnny and his family, we're asking for privacy until he rejoins the team in Cleveland."

The quarterback is expected to be in rehab at least a few weeks, but the amount of time depends largely on what doctors recommend, according to a source close to Manziel.

The quarterback is voluntarily entering treatment as a direct result of his lifestyle away from the field, and he informed people in his circle last week that he wants to "figure out his value system," a source said.

A source told ESPN's Darren Rovell that a casino in Las Vegas offered Manziel six figures to host a Super Bowl party, but he declined.

Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement that the team supports Manziel's decision.

"We respect Johnny's initiative in this decision and will fully support him throughout this process. Our players' health and well-being will always be of the utmost importance to the Cleveland Browns," Farmer said.

"We continually strive to create a supportive environment and provide the appropriate resources, with our foremost focus being on the individual and not just the football player. Johnny's privacy will be respected by us during this very important period and we hope that others will do the same."

Browns receiver Andrew Hawkins tweeted his support for his quarterback on Monday.

In an article for ESPN over a year ago, Johnny's father said that his son drinks to deal with stress. Johnny was mandated to see an alcohol counselor. The young man clearly has a problem, as do the Browns.

He also has a not-very-good-at-quarterbacking problem.

There were pictures of him more or less doing coke without actually being in the act of doing coke about a year ago.

And the Browns gave this guy millions and did not know this????

Question:  Why did god make the Browns organization?

Answer:  To make the Bears organization look competent.

Drummed up a lot of interest in Cleveland and the world about stupid Browns football, aina'l? Not a bad pick if your organization sucks with or without Manziel.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

"his son drinks to deal with stress" unfortunately, he's on the wrong drug as the side effects aren't working to well for his career.  many times, these guys will use fill-in-the-blank drug to try to cope. alcohol just happens to be the most socially acceptable.  when one is on alcohol, obviously the judgement gets a little compromised.  then, in order to be able to prolong the "fun", the introduction of adjuncts come in to play. rolling up c-notes is he?  someone should throw him the cliff's notes on the life and times of ryan leaf while he's in rehab.  then it's hi, i'm johnny and...hopefull he'll this seriously or he'll become another sports footnote real fast

He likely has an addiction program.  But part of the problem is that he is genuinely an pretty boy.  Unfortunately I'm not sure they treat that in Rehab.
