I'm like you, never have liked that shooting form, but give him this, he goes to the line and makes his free throws consistently.  I'd trust him at the FT line as much as anyone on the team in a clutch situtation.
Absolutely.

JaJuan deserves an honorable mention today - 10 rebounds and 5 assists.  Terrible perimeter shooting (what else is new from him), but I'm realizing that kid has toughness to him, and in the open court makes really good decisions and can finish.

Plenty of good choices today, but all have some warts. Sandy's first half was good but he wasn't there sealing the game in the clutch. Juan put up points but didn't rebound near as well as he usually does.

For me it was JJJ. Yes, his shooting was poor, but his 10 rebounds were immense and included in those 5 assists was the press breaking dish to Luke for the dunk. At the end, it was Jajuan hitting the free throws to ice it. There's more to the game than just scoring and he brought all of that today.

I also liked seeing him not overplay steal attempts. In the past, he goes all out and often takes himself out of plays looking for a steal. Today he gambled but when he didn't get it had the composure to stay in the play.

Jajuan had quite a few very good moments rebounding, passing, scoring some timely points and causing chaos on defense.  I go with Jajuan and Sandy as co-SOTGs.

Juan.

No idea how he only has 1 SOTG on the year.

Texas Western

JJJ was a complete player today. Consistently in the flow of the game . Fought hard to the last second.

1.  Juan - great all around game, and senior leadership.
2.  Sandy - great spark in first half.
3.  Derrick - did a little of everything (8 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast).
4.  JJJ - like Derrick, a little of everything.  (+) 10 rebounds.  (-)  3-13 from the field.

Juan, he did really well against much taller players.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

All Juan. He may have only had 4 rebounds but three of them were on the offensive glass. Couldn't have done it without him.

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

BM1090

I liked JJ today but I can't vote for someone who went 3-13 and had 4 TO's in 25 mins.

Sandy was a breath of fresh air.  Love his game and the thought that he will get better.  Thank you Sandy for coming to Marquette!

Daniel

I think STJ saved the game at the end when Luke went out with 4 fouls. Some big time rebounds, a put back and an inbound block and steal.  Huge to preserve the lead and win

Tums Festival

Juan, played a solid all-around game and made his free throws when it counted.

Great points - STJ's contributions, especially w/ Fischer forced to the bench for a long stretch in the second half, were huge.

Just think how different last season could have been if Jamil Wilson had the kind of senior season Juan is having to this point.

Exactly, he deserves an honorable mention no doubt, but no way he is the SOTG with that shooting line.

That offensive board and put back in the first half was as good a individual play as I've seen this season.  I don't even know how he got his hand on the missed shot, let alone, get his hand on it, and then put it back in.  He was quite a ways from the basket when the ball came off the rim.  Great play.

Juan, because of this

Lots of good choices.  I go Juan.

Sandy.

BTW, I heard Wojo saying he made a mistake not playing him in the DePaul game.  Would Burt ever admit he was wrong.  I like the humble honesty.
