A thread definately NOT about NJIT thoughts

Say what you want about McCarthy but consider that in the Aaron Rodgers era in GB with arguably the best nucleus of talent this team has consistently seen in a long time they've won ONE playoff game outside of the improbable Superbowl run which was fortunate to happen considering Rodgers, McCarthy and the entire offense completely sh!t the bed and only by the grace of God and Jay Cutler being a bigger pu$$y did we get out of the the NFC championship game.

His coaching tenure has been marked by underperforming in the postseason.  Take the Wolf, Holmgren, Favre and White era as contrast where I would make the argument that without the Cowboys Dynasty we'd have an additional 1-2 Superbowls.

This Sunday we'll be reminded just how mediocre McCarthy is that despite having more player talent he will get severely outcoached at home by the hooded genius.

The Patriot's defense, particularly their secondary, is twenty times better than Green Bay's, thanks to their free agency acquisitions.

That is why we would be likely to lose, not a scheming masterpiece by Belichick.

Please explain why the almighty Mike Holmgren lost to a 14 point underdog (Largest point spread in superbowl history) Denver Broncos team in Superbowl?  Not to mention, years later, Ron Wolf called Holmgren pig headed in this game for not changing his offensive scheme during the superbowl.  Yeah..... you can't.  That only leaves you with one thing to do now........

While that was as bad coaching display that day by Holmgren, it is nothing compared to the 37-20 loss at home to the Giants being bounced from the playoffs after a 15-1 season.

Holmgren has lost his share of Superbowls, but at least he got his teams there (Green Bay, Seattle).

McCarthy takes Superbowl talented teams and ensures they don't get there.

Poor comparison even for you Deane

The Packers had the worst defense in NFL History in 2011. On a day the offense was ordinary, it proved to be too much. Not putting that on McCarthy when he isn't responsible for the defense.

How is the 'head coach' not ultimately responsible for all aspects of his team?  That's a silly statement.

Because he doesn't call any of the defensive coverages. He does call the offensive plays. And his offense was one of the best in NFL history that year.

We're seeing different teams if you thought the Packers of 2012 or 2013 were Super Bowl contenders. Way too many holes. This year may be a different story.

The Giants D-Line destroyed everyone - overwhelming all QB's with pressure which is the great QB equalizer in the NFL.  Ask Peyton Manning and Tom Brady about this.  I'm sure they'll let you know.

Plus, the defense wasn't as potent without Cullen Jenkins.  That defense didn't pressure the QB as much as the prior year.

This is hilarious.

McCarthy's one Super Bowl run is "improbable," and only occurred because another team lost.  Holmgren's one Super Bowl run could have been more, but another team was better.  So you make every excuse to discount the former and promote the latter.  Excuse me for not taking you seriously.

And Belichek might outcoach McCarthy on Sunday.  Wouldn't be the first time he has outcoached someone.
