Oui! bonne chance, grand lissez.

Also, congrats to all who continually misspell his name as Devante.
Now, you can claim that you were simply using the French spelling.

Congrats, Ox.  They are going to love you.  Just hope he doesn't go nuts on the French cuisine...

According to the english/french translator, Ox in french is Boeuf.

Texas Western

Great News for him. The food is great and he will be well liked by the fans.

And Buycks, who leveraged a French league MVP into an NBA contract. Perhaps some connection there helped steer Davante in that direction?

Cool.  I'll be there in three weeks for work, maybe I can catch the big fella.  Have to bring a MU sweatshirt just in case.

Wonder if you'll have the same problem I had in the Hills, hey?

Maybe not, afterall Marquette is a French name and the good father was from there.

JWags85

From a Twitter exchange with Kris Joseph, seems like he will be playing in Toulon, who have a second division side.  Not a bad spot on the Mediterranean to hoop it up.

Good food in France, but small portions.  Would figure Ox to Italy.

I hear that over there they call it a "Royale with cheese."

Actually, on the Mediterranean (vs. Paris) I've found the portions to be reasonable and the selection to be a mix of Italian, French countryside, and well, "Mediterranean".

He's getting a chance to live in a beautiful area!

Well, one thing for sure:

Now Dirk will NEVER play in France for fear of being schooled constantly!

Context 82, Context.  Take statements in their proper context.  As in when people were arguing Garnder wouldn't stand a chance guarding a guy like Dirk on the perimeter (true)....it goes two ways...as in Dirk wouldn't stand a chance guarding a guy like Gardner in the paint.  7' and 225lbs won't hold up against 6'8" 290lbs.  That is all that was being said.  Yet I know some wanted to twist my statements into somehow suggesting Gardner was an equal of Dirk, or by virtue of the statement alone that Dirk couldn't defend Gardner well in the post - that Gardner was an NBA lock.  Never said that.  Yet, I still wouldn't be surprised to see Gardner get a cup of coffee in the league....if he doesn't go crazy on the food overseas.
