It doesn't look like he's landed anywhere, maybe he's back to MU?  Really hope, he seems like a rising star, especially in recruiting circles.

I'm sure Wojo will bring in a really good staff, just saying, sure would be nice to bring him back in the fold.

Can't believe VT can afford him. Love to see him back at MU, but I would be surprised.

I don't know what to think about his return possibility- impossible to know what Wojo's thinking for his staff- seems like it would make all the sense in the world though- his strong Chicago recruiting ties, his relationships with current MU players and signees, strong recruiting rep, etc.

You never name your assistant coaches in these coaching change situations.  He is probably on Buzz's staff but not yet officially.  The advantage is you can make contact and recruit because you are not yet attached to a school.

Time for fresh start. Never keep a guy because you think he can get job. Hire a guy you know can get job done.

According to the link above Jeff Chew, Brad Autry and  Reynolds are lined up for VT.

For those of you who don't click the link I know it is Issac but the article calls him Jeff in the opening.

Looks like Buzz wants to do it with his guys only and not be open to new assistant coaches.  Buzz's loyalty will be his demise.  Essentially, he went to VaTech, to get a mulligan with his assistants.  Perhaps Buzz cannot adapt to new assistants well?

Judging from the way Buzz treated the people in the AD that I know, Buzz doesn't have time for/connect with/respect many people. He just doesn't even notice them, whether it's on propose our not.  That may be loyalty, but I think it's something else

How can he have time?  He hand writes a letter a day or more, he schedules everything down to the minute, he talks to how many people individually each day, he personally answers emails (really?)....  I often wondered after a lot of his spiels about how he did this and that how he found time to get it all done, even with his sleep issues.  I know I lead a busy life, not nearly as busy as a head basketball coach at a top division 1 program, but I could not find time to do all the ancillary "stuff" Buzz claimed to have done.  No wonder stories like the above are now coming out.

Believe the other stuff too. He definitely had time to email me back about mundane BB stuff I emailed him about, but he wouldn't acknowledge the coworkers that were in support roles at work.

Strange dude.

All of this stuff was brought up a long time ago, too. It's just that right now we're feeling betrayed so the fans are focusing more on the negatives rather than the positives. Buzz did right by Marquette's mission & Marquette Basketball in a lot of ways!

The MU job is not easy for coaches like Buzz and Crean.  I heard Crean say it was very difficult to recruit here back in the day.  I got the same impression from Buzz as well.  MU is a grinder for the above average coach, it seems.  We'll see how Wojo recruits.  I think the Nick Noskowiak situation shows that Wojo thinks he can do better, which is a great sign.

This how he treated ppl stuff is interesting.  I do not doubt it but I have spoken to staffers who worked for both and they always said Buzz was the friendly one, the guy who knew their name etc.  Of course I have heard he explosed ego wise in the past 18 months so maybe my info wasn't as up to date.

On to Wojo.  I'm excited.

Noskowiak choosing to open up HIS recruitment is exactly that.  It doesn't mean that Wojo thinks he can do better...jumping to conclusions.  You make it seem as if Wojo drove him away because he's not good enough.

Time will only tell.  Judging by who's offered scholarships to Noskowiak, I'd say his high ranking doesn't correlate with his talent level.  I will bet money that Wojo brings in a more talented guard than Niskowiak.

I don't see how you can come to this conclusion so soon. He has not recruited anyone for us yet and you automatically assume that he's going to land more talented players than a kid ranked in the top 60? Maybe he will...just way to early to start making proclamations like that.

damuts222

Nobody is arguing that Wojo will or will not recruit a better player than Noskowiak.  Whose to say Noskowiak won't still end up at Marquette?  Noskowiak opened up his recruitment and I doubt Wojo told him to look elsewhere, which is what you are implying.

I'm taking the fact that the local papers put him on the all state team (4th team) and the fact that there aren't too many big name programs recruiting him.  I'm doubting that he's some great, hidden talent.  Not to mention, the recruiting websites aren't thoroughly managed well.  Often times they have parts of them that aren't updated for months.  I would be surprised if the  next update didn't have Nick out of top 60.

Since he committed to MU early, some of the bigger schools didn't offer.  Now they are.

Well......I did say outside of the top 60 for the next update.....  So far, I'm right.

Since he committed to MU early, some of the bigger schools didn't offer.  Now they are.

Which big schools are offering?  The ones on the page have been there for awhile.  Are you the source?  Do you know of new programs offering scholarships?  If so.... you should tell us now or go to prison with Buzz
