I definitely believe these things take time.  If I had to guess, I would say Kearney announced tomorrow as President and, hopefully, Shaka announced by end of week.  This being said, I would be happy with Howland, as well, but would not prefer Wardle.  Bottom line, MU is in a good situation and we all need to be patient.  (Easier said than done, I know.)

Ever think the new coach may have something to do with it? Have they even met yet?

They don't need to meet.

The coach has the basketball credentials.

Does howland still reside in Los Angeles?

I think he lives in Santa Barbara.

No--the reference is to the President. You are the piece of work for failure to comprehend the printed word.
that's my willie.  knowing kearney...he's probably saying to the BoT that if he doesn't get announced before the coach he's going to richmond/VT law school.  hell, you should love the guy...he clerked for scalia.

Sure he does, but does the new President?

Buzz didn't get along with his bosses. Look how well that worked out.

I mean...they kinda do. It's pretty important to know that your job isn't going to be dictated by a moron/a guy you don't like.

Could be president announced tomorrow with national press types leaking the name of new coach later in the day. Then official announcement of coach thursday

no clue how any of this works...possible that the president-to-be could talk with a coach prior to be formally announced as the president?  everything i heard on the president search (and i do have some decent sources there) was that it wouldn't be announced till april.  seems like they're pushing the timeline up...hopefully for a good reason.

Buzz had lots of issues here.  While I respected him as a coach and recruiter, he did have MANY off court issues - the assault, having an assistant lie to an NCAA investigator, and a number of more...personal...proclivities that call into question his whole "commitment to God and family" schtick.

I am a very big believer that the admin finally said "enough is enough" and let the ticking time bomb walk.

Yes I believe so.  He was just on Sports Radio here in SoCal.  The guests mentioned MU a few times leading up to the interview, but Howland keep it generic just saying he wants the right fit for him and the university (generic not MU).  He seemed much more interested in the Florida UCLA match up.

Married Buzz liked to get massages.  I heard multiple first hand stories about things he wanted that were definitely NOT on the menu.

Assuming "first hand stories" (no pun intended) means the same thing to you as it does to me, I don't believe you. Unless, of course, you talk to a lot of masseuses.

Howland is still in Goleta. Brian Wardle was seen house hunting in Cudahy today.

OT: But Duane Wilson just deleted his twitter it appears. He's practically the only player who posts things of relevance. Last night he posted something similar to "Praying these rumors about Shaka are real". Strange, because he tweets quite regularly and went dead quiet right after that tweet for over 25 hours.

Confirmed his twitter is nowhere to be found. He retweeted me like 2 days ago and now nowhere to be found on my profile.

"First Hand " stories sounds pretty close to the source

SS does not allow his players to use Twitter during the school year.  ; )
