Ya, but Cords didn't say it. Read the comments part on CBS, some are making fun of IU.

We said that we weren't going to the CBI, but Broeker said it in an non-aggrandizing way.  That's the difference.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Sometimes, it is HOW something is said and not just who says it.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Careful.... you're starting to sound like Chicos.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

"Were Indiana, we don't play in the CBI"

Were?   The word "we're" might work a bit better and drive the point home.  Otherwise it might come off that you are trying to make fun of another school and in the process made MU look bad at the same time.   ;)

Something tells me not a lot of media types were clamoring to find out MU's reasons for not playing in the CBI.  IU, people care to ask those questions for any number of reasons.  Maybe Michael Hunt will ask in a week or two.  You also need to factor in what happened last year with Purdue and the massive grief they took for playing in the CBI.  Now, I realize IU is MU's biggest rival, but for IU it is actually Purdue.  The Boilermakers decision to play in the CBI last year was universally mocked and this is another way for IU to zing Purdue, in my opinion.  Is it right, could it have been said differently?  Sure.  Of course, we don't know what was exactly said, we know what a reporter wrote.

I don't think any high major team (Indiana or MU) should play in the CBI. I think the issue is Glass sounding like an arrogant ass. I agree that the CBI is beneath them...and us.

Actually, if we're utilizing the grammar of the typical Indiana graduate, "were" is highly representative.

He's trying to think of a way to pin this all on Jeff Meyer at Michigan

I wonder where Crean will land once he finally does get the boot. Honest question.

I'm sure there are plenty of mid majors who would be glad to have him. Maybe something in his home state of Michigan? Central Michigan?

I assume he's on there for Recruiting purposes. I'm sure his recruits will be interested to know he's not interested in what they have to say.
