2 bid league?
This increases the chances of it being at least a 3 bid league....

Did DePaul beat Creighton yet?

There goes the Nova #1 seed.

I hope DePaul doesn't play soft, because we know how much Greggy McDermott hates hard nosed basketball. The Blue Demons may be able to beat up the Toronto Creighton Blue Jays and give us a chance... If we beat X.
I have been thinking about you a lot since last weekend. A whole lot.

Damn ... I missed it!

Hall musta played great ... or did Nova play horrible?

Has any coach ever underachieved more in tournaments than Jay Wright?

Hmmmm....in 8 NCAA appearances at Villanova, he is 7-1 in first round games, has been to 2 sweet 16s and a Final Four. If that's underachieving, who's average?

Wright's done well in the NCAA tournament.

He's been good in conference tournaments, but in the NCAA tournament Jamie Dixon has been quite pathetic.

Oh yeah, well how many Final Fours has Jay Wright gone to? ...Oh yeah. Good point.

Honestly, this gives us some remote chance.  X, Creighton, and somebody not named Villanova.  I suppose hoping for DePaul is asking too much.

As has been discussed this year: Nova is overrated & quite susceptible to bad losses

Speaking of which, Indiana got bounced in the 8-9 game by Illinois.  Possible NIT matchup?  That will give the game some juice for us.  Hopefully the point is moot as MU surprises and takes the BET.

Now if Providence and DePaul wins we will be set up nicely  ;D

Yep.  As long as they can get by the Hall, the Providence/St. John's winner is a lock.  If not, Seton Hall gets to the championship, possibly against a Creighton team that only beat them by one in Omaha three weeks ago.  Too nutty to imagine the stolen auto-bid coming there, sending both SHU fans into a frenzy and giving them huge momentum for next year with the recruiting class coming in.

Great game, lot of juice to it.

As shocked as I was (and as bad as "losing to Seton Hall" sounds), I don't think this qualifies as a bad loss by definition.  SHU kenpom before the game was 91, and now sits at 84.  This loss is not nearly as bad as the losses other top teams have, like Duke (ND/Wake), Michigan (Charlotte), Cuse (BC/GTech), and Wisconsin (NW).

That being said, I'm sure the perception and timing of this loss will hurt Nova more than any of those other clubs.  They should still be very solid at a #2 seed though.

ChitownSpaceForRent

Huh, look at that. Twice this postseason a team that went 0-2 to another team in the regular season won the 3rd game. How funny...
