Smile, fellow MUers.

Though not as high hopes as the Hoosier base, our both our teams are 14-10 but we're 6-5 in conference play (they're 4-7).

Delicious tears... http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/conversation?gameId=400510025

They'll probably beat Purdue, but if they don't...Hoosier fans will want his head!

I've never been a Crean basher, but his post-game comments were ridiculous. Blaming the entire loss on a bunch of 18-23 year olds? That's a new low for him.

How did Tom Crean get into my Jim Burr thread?

Idk. ID love to agree with you, but aside from his pud whack attitude, I don't really have an issue with anything he said there.

Gee, too bad for Crean if he gets the axe--which IMO that would not happen this year. And doesn't he have about 5 or 6 years on his contract left? If so, he will have plenty of walking around money to hang with the Harbaughs for a few years. And somebody else would snap him up immediately, to which he can respond: "It was Indiana, It was Indiana" Hell, ESPN would probably hire him for their Sunday football show--they need a couple more guys to make an even dozen, and he could offer fascinating analysis on the Harbaugh brothers.

CTC would actually be great on ESPN as an analyst.

Better yet--to Bucky IF Bo ever retires.

Either one of these would make for an awesome rivalry for us... I'd love to see him go to DPU or UW

You think? The TC I've encountered has never uttered an original sentence. He's a walking cliche'. If that's what they want out of an analyst, I suppose.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

They play in the Big Ten, we don't.  Kind of hard to compare conference records.  They beat Wisconsin, we didn't.  Would we beat Michigan...doubtful.  OSU beat us, be curious to see how they do against OSU.  In fact, we're 0-2 against the Big Ten this year.  IU is what IU is this year, a team that lost four 1000 point starters and they've struggled.

Go to the UW board 3 weeks ago, they wanted Bo Ryan fired.  Go to the UNC board a month ago, they wanted Roy Williams fired.  Go to the UCLA board 2 weeks ago, Alford should be fired.  Etc, etc.

Did you know that Jim Burr has worked 16 Final Fours.  On the heels of what happened with Mr. Smart the other day, not surprising.

What Jim Burr has done in the past has no relation to the current time. He is an awful referee. He is the worst ref I have ever seen since I came to Marquette in 2011, bar none. I have never seen a game where Burr has reffed and said "Well that was good officiating" He needs to retire. I dont care what he has done in the past but the current Jim Burr is awful.

Didn't say otherwise....it was more tongue in cheek since the thread was, I think, about Jim Burr.

Don't worry, the second he retires someone here will anoint the next worst ref in the world that is screwing MU (and only MU) out of wins.   ;)

ATVSandKARATE

What I hate most about Jim Burr is his Blocking call. His old wobbly ass comes tumbling down the floor as he desperately tries to follow the play. He then does that dramatic "I need to hop on one foot while leaning on a 45 degree angle to stop" pose as he then violently slams his hands on his hips, as if almost telling us to "suck it." What an ass.
I have been thinking about you a lot since last weekend. A whole lot.
