MU out-shot (2pointers and 3pointers) and out rebounded the #8 team in the nation in an away game.
The difference?  4 more turnovers and 9 more fouls.

Take away either one, and we win.

Take away Jim Burr and we win.

Of course there's +1 point for Juan's 3 as well.

I still have a lot of faith in this team.

10 of those free throws came in the final minute when MU was fouling on purpose. Two of those turnovers and fouls came on flops. But, Bucky beat MU up...Dekker and MU's lack of offense from the guards were the difference

So glad I have my tickets, flight, and hotel booked for the game in Vegas.....

No doubt. To rub salt in the wound they were just running a buy one get one deal on tickets for the game as well, so we are both likely out extra money too. Maybe the team will have it figured out by then.  ; )

Seems like a lot of people in this thread are freaking out that we lost to a top 10 team on the road.  As much as I hate losing to the Badgers, they made the hustle plays and hit huge shots when they had to.  Hats off to them.  I had a bad feeling MU was going to fold and get blown out, but with under 2 minutes to play we were within 3 points.

If you would have told any realistic MU fan before tipoff we would be down 3 with under 2 to play, when faced with numerous opportunities to mail it in, I think they would have been pretty happy with that scenario.

The Dekker bounce around 3 in the first half, the 3 he hit after the loose ball scramble in the second, and the triple by Kaminsky to put them up 6 were all killers.

I'm proud of the mettle we showed late, hopefully the experience transfers to success in conference play.

I just can't stop laughing at those trying to say Uw-Madison isn't talented.

The angle to me was tough to tell, though the action of the closer ref who was looking right at his feet was emphatic WHILE he was shooting.  He may have been wrong, but he was absolutely convinced.

Wrong but absolutely convinced? That could be you or me or even Equalizer.

LOL.  Very true.

I'm one of those people that likes an umpire, ref, etc, to make a definitive call and he certainly did.  I guess that was my point...who knows, lots of egg nog and spirits today on a rainy So. Cal day putting up the tree and watching the boys play.

Twas' a ugly turd of a game for a MU backer so I can't stomach to look back through this thread but have a question.......what is up with STJ? Buzz talked about his injured leg and slow to get back to game shape or something like that on the radio show, is that what kept him glued to bench?  Seemed like he would have helped eh?

same here, at least it will be warm and fun in Vegas.  highly doubt a MU win on the road against a mediocre team...

That was my point, Doofer.  You from the Ron Dayne School of Reading?

What has me in a slow burn is that loose ball scramble.  I was at the game, so I couldn't replay it, but it looked like the MU players got out hustled this game.

Seemed like loose ball scrambles with an s. Was at the game too so didn't see the reply but it seemed as though there were maybe 3 50/50 balls around that 10 minute mark when MU was down about 8 and they didn't get any. Was nice to see them have some pride in the last 5 minutes but it a little too late.
