I assume you mean .. insert a link into a MUScoop post?  You can usually just paste it into your post and the system will automatically linkify it.   You can hit "preview" on your post and see if it links it correctly.  If not, you can highlight it and hit the "insert hyperlink" button (it's a globe.)

You can also do this...

Type whatever you'd like. I'm going to link the Marquette Athletics Website.

Once I've typed the line above, I will highlight Marquette Athletics Website and then click the Globe ("Insert Hyperlink button", just below the U "underline" button). This will put and around the text. You can also just type this manually if you wish. At this point, the text will become highlighted, but clicking it won't take you anywhere.

Type whatever you'd like. I'm going to link the Marquette Athletics Website.

Now, in the first [] box, add an equal sign and the website link after "url"... so after "url" and before "]" I am going to type or paste "=http://gomarquette.edu". Now "Marquette Athletics Website" is not only highlighted, but clicking on it will take you right to the linked site/page.

Type whatever you'd like. I'm going to link the Marquette Athletics Website.

I wish... not holding SNTA any longer (although it did little today).

I am in on TWO - for the dividends. Difficult for me to purchase but after falling below $10 last week I had to.

After that I am mostly short (as far as my trading / fun accounts go...)

WFM and RL need to drop.

PS - Manny's is my favorite, but for lunch today I scooped up Taco Bell, again. Busy day at the home office - working on the house / staging for a potential sale. No time for fine dining today.

The market is definitely up for the seller here.

Do yourself a favor and stay out of SNTA. The only reason to be in it at all is as a run up play to full Phase III results. The fact that they don't have a big pharma partner in Phase III is a huge red flag. I'm not even totally convinced that they have enough $$ left to finish their Phase III trial. They burned almost $50MM in cash in Q4 2012 and only had $34MM left according to their last 10Q. They almost have to have either a secondary offering or an ATM offering to finish the trial.

Yeah, it has scared me, but I have liked the insider activity and thought they got drilled a bit much on the last piece of negative news. Just grabbed a quick 25% gain in the past couple of weeks and a larger gain last year.

Can't rule out another play... but, funding will be an issue for the foreseeable future. Many options for them.

As for the cash.. I think in the last Q most of the cash change is simply them taking cash and buying available-for-sale securities... so, the change in liquid cash/securities combined in Q1 was about $10MM.

Any suggestions of companies I should look at, let me know!

Mannys......mmmm. Can I tag along too?

Not sure if I like the new location.  Awfully damn noisy when it gets busy.

Went up to Lindey's in Arden Hills the other week with the war department.  Always good.

SNTA today...
7.12 +2.06 (40.71%)

Manny's in the Hyatt on the bar side was great for dates (I'm just guessing, of course) or a big dinner with a bunch of pals.

And back down to 6.15 already. Most non-institutional investors have no idea what they are doing when it comes to biotech, and react to non-material news and Seeking Alpha articles. SNTA has only 33% institutional ownership so most of the movement is by us regular investors.

The mid-trial results really mean nothing. They also burned through another $18MM in cash on R&D ops in Q2. I'm not going to go into my entire bear thesis at the moment, but I think its a terrible long-term investment. However, as with any volatile biotech stock, there can obviously good trading opportunities.

I'm with you on the bolded stuff. Fully understood - I have just enjoyed playing in it here and there... and might again in the future. Have no interest in SNTA as a long-term holding; never have.

As for "burning through cash" on R&D... that's similar to saying "they operated their business", as R&D is what they do at this stage. Some ramp up percentage wise in general/admin expenses, but the dollars are small and the majority of the increase is noncash (i.e., stock comp).

Again.. I'm not a fan of SNTA. I've just been a fan of a short play on SNTA at times and might again in the future.

MOS hit too hard yesterday, you think?

This is true, but cash burn rate is a super important consideration for pre-commercial biotechs. Clinical trials are huge money pits, especially if run incompetently.

I honestly don't know much about MOS. Pharma/Biotech is really my area of expertise. With a biochem degree and time spent in the pharma industry, I'm pretty comfortable digging through clinical trial data and efficacy papers etc. Can't say the same about other industries with the same degree of confidence.
