I wouldn't say we were a great finisher in 2003. We totally shat the bed in the Final Four.

Yeah, but went through the second toughest gauntlet to get there in the last 10 years....did we shat the bed against Syracuse the other day?  How about against UNC a few years ago?  Florida?   That's why I asked someone to define finishing.  Or are we moving goal posts again here at scoop?   Kansas was a better team than we were.  Just as Syracuse was last week.  Kentucky was a better team than we were but we blew them out.  Arguably Pitt was a better team that year, but we beat them.   Who you play, where you play, etc has a lot to do with this definition.

An IU buddy of mine didn't want to believe it, but after I showed him the flowchart to the Tom Crean-era Hoosiers (http://royhobbson.tumblr.com/post/40682987705/the-crean-era-hoosiers-in-flow-chart-form), he finally realized after a few games how true it is and has made comments of the bizarre/douchey behavior on a number of occasions now.

I told my hoosier fan wife that Syracuse was going to beat IU badly.   I told her why (Crean could never beat Boeheim or attack a zone) and predicted IU's offense.   I also predicted the lack of adjustments and frequent pictures of the coach clapping ineffectually.     It pissed her off as badly as the loss, having me be right so much.  I also told her I expected Syracuse to beat MU, that we had to play a near perfect game at home to beat the Orange and that I was hopeful but not optimistic that MU could duplicate the effort on a neutral floor.   She forgave me somewhat for that and then developed an unholy hatred of Syracuse because they beat both IU and MU.

I don't know her, but I like your wife. Despite the Hoosier leaning.
