7 of the 9 schools are blue:
Marquette, Georgetown, DePaul, Villanova, Seton Hall, Xavier, Butler

If Creighton and SLU were added, 9 of 11 schools would be blue.

We are yellow. Blue is our complimentary color.

But yeah, every school has some form of blue, gray or red in it. Having yellow makes us stand out quite obviously.

Yellow has the color of cowardice is antiquated.  It's now the color of choice for fire engines because it is the most visible color for them to be painted.  MU is yellow because like fire engines we seek to be seen, to stand out as we display composure and courage under pressure.

Hey!!  As a SLUHigh grad, I take issue with that remark.  The Billiken (and the Jr. Billiken) is a design of classic beauty and only has a passing resemblance to The Grinch of Madison.

St. John's needs to become the Blue Storm, and Providence switch to black and blue.  Then add Creighton, SLU, Richmond to get to 12.  We can be the Big Blue East!
