Big game for our conference title hopes. Go Huskies.

brewcity77

Find myself a Husky again tonight. This is one of three games I can see GU losing. Go UConn, you damn dirty dogs!

RushmoreAcademy

Boatright and Napier are fun to root for when you need then to beat someone you're fighting for title with.  Come on fellas.

4everwarriors

Nolan with a couple free throws

Cheering for UCONN tonight. But I can't help but be a fan of Otto Porter - great college player, and, if I recall correctly, not much of an AAU guy, which just goes to show you don't have to do that scene to be a good player.  And as someone who isn't a big fan of the AAU scene, makes me happy.

Shouldn't we also be VT fans tonight for Buzz's COY chances?

Ive been looking at bracketology and bubble watch on ESPN and was wondering how UCONN isn't even on the bubble? Their worst loss is to who? Villanova (as of now in the tournament) at Home? or on the road to St. Johns (who is also in the tournament)?

They have good wins (Mich State, @ND, Cuse, Cinci) and no bad losses.

How they aren't being considered a tourney team is beyond me

UCONN is ineligible for the tournament this season.

I would love to see the Demons beat loserville tonight.  If their shooters get hot, can the cards match them if they score 80?

Call me crazy, but I think that could be a shocking upset. No way DePaul should win that game, but Louisville has been hot and is due for a letdown, and with a trip to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, they could easily be overlooking this.

Back on this game, Nolan playing pretty well for UConn.

Of course they're overlooking DePaul. And they'll get away with it to the tune of a win by 20+.

....the NIT.

Lavin's job so far at St. Johns..... better, worse or on par with what you thought when he got hired?

Hard to evaluate because of his health issues, but a great question. He did great with that veteran team when he arrived. His recruiting has been at a pretty high level and I expected that, but they haven't been able to put together a full roster since that first year.

I'd probably say slightly worse, but feel they still have the upside I expected when they went for the flashy name.

Lavin did have a bout with cancer

brewcity77

Did Ollie forget to tell his team they had to play 2 halves tonight?

Georgetown is going to win the BE. If they keep playing with this horseshoe up their ass they won't lose again. 8-9 in the 2nd half from 3?? Seriously?? Thing is, besides Porter, this Georgetown team isn't that talented. Have played great since losing Whittington, who was their second leading scorer, and probably best on the ball defender. I don't get how they are doing it.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

And the team did not like Lavin's replacement and some bolted

Starks is very talented. Best point guard in the league, in my opinion.

Smith-Rivera got more minutes after Whittington was lost.  Smith-Rivera has extended the defenses with his range and that has made the difference.  That kid can shoot and would be a very welcome participant on MU.  Lets hope JJJ or Duane Wilson can play like him.
