I'll go back to one of my points about Jake earlier this year.  When he was forced to be the backup #2 guard behind Blue his head must have been swimming.  That's more responsibility than his 'mid-major' ability was prepared to effectively handle.  We've benefitted from Todd's return.  But Jake did learn that he could handle the other aspects of the game just well enough to contribute on occasion.

My hope is that experience earlier this year will propel him for the remainder of his collegiate career especially if Buzz can whittle down his responsibility and get him back to 'special' at the one thing he might do at the high D1 level.  Last night Jake was 'special'.  And we beat 'Cuse in part because of his contribution.

Kid had the stones to take that shot in the 1st half. Biggest single play of the season (so far) for MU. He won't get many accolades for his time here, but that shot was HUGE for this game and this season. Gotta believe his transfer was all worth it just for that.

I'll take this one instead.

I'm with you Slack. Nice to see Thomas finally make one. But let's get real - he's too slow and can't create.  To say that was the "shot of the year" is pure hyperbole.

Cadougan's three was a far bigger make. People here slam Cadougan then turn around and want to suck Thomas' crank for making a three. I scratch my head.

Biggest impact may be on his confidence. I hope so.

I seem to recall the same idea after his great rebound and 1 in the closing seconds against Butler. I suppose his confidence bubble was burst by Clarke's shot just a few seconds later, and it's only now that it is back.

Well, I hope so.
