This is why it was so big that Georgetown beat Cuse today. No way MU is winning the title now. Hell, they may not even get a top 4 seed. Well done MU, way to f'n crap your pants....again. Never been so pissed off about an MU game in my life, and that's saying something because I've been pissed about a lot of them.

Wow - you are one sick cookie.  Can I have your tickets for Monday night.

muhoops1

This game stunk because MU played with a low BB IQ level tonight.  Winnable game and then play right into Nova's hands.  Slow, tentative and stupid.  Bad combo.

We lost a game on the road to a team that's already beaten Louisville, Syracuse, and UConn.

We were underdogs, supposed to lose, and we did.

4everwarriors

So, we're supposed to win on Monday, aina?

Could care less if they were "supposed" to lose, or what Vegas or the experts say. Great teams, and programs that want to become elite, win games like this then go on to win titles. Period. Every single time MU has had a chance to become "elite" or at least take another step in that direction, they crap their pants. Every single time. It's tiring.

Perhaps because we're not elite.

Truth is, we're just not at the same level as Louisville nor Syracuse.    Not that we're guaranteed a loss on Monday, but we play 10 games vs. SU on a neutral court, they win 8 of them.

The fan in me hopes to have the 2 out of 10 actually happen

What are you, 4?! THIS is the game that pisses you off more than ALL others? Really?!

Oh yea of little faith. The last time we played the Orange on a neutral court our next stop was the Sweet Sixteen.

Are you 4?? Do you not understand what this game cost MU?? Can you comprehend that?? No more BE title for them, at least not outright. Now they are in jeopardy of not even getting a top 4 seed for the BE tourney.

And it may turn out to be that way in the end.  Very tough league.

Do you know how many little girls in India, Nepal, Pakistan, China, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, etc... were sold into sexual slavery today? Do you know how many little boys were chained below decks today on some tramp steamer in Karachi and Mumbai and headed for Jeddah where they will be prostituted to Arab men?

It was a basketball game, man. It is supposed to help you take your mind off of war, mortgages, troubled teens, marital woes, a sh1tty job, financial woes, etc... relax.

By the way, Marquette is having a great year.

The proper overused phrase that really says you do not know what you're talking about is "crapping the bed" ... Not pants.

And if you're this pissed about MU losing by 4 in a game they were underdogs I have to assume you must had been in a third world country during the UWGB game.

I told you guys this board was way more fun an active after a loss on national tv  than it is when we win.

This fan base stews on the losses much more than it enjoys the wins.  And this is coming from someone who used to stew alot.

Team lost to a decent nova team in a HS gym, when Nova needed this win terribly!!   I guess we must be worse than Columbia???

Not getting a top 4 seed?  We hold the tie breaker against Pitt, we get to play ND on senior day, and we get to play rutgers still.  Your telling me marquette will lose 3 of 4?

This post is perfect ...this morning we had a thread titled "10-3" arguing we should have expected that record after 13 games.  3 hours later we are a 6 to 9th place team.  That was fast.

This means around 8:30 Monday night we will get one of two threads ... "Why we Will in the national championship"or "are we good enough for the C7 or should we take Butler's old spot in he Horizon league?"

yup that is about right,

On monday Co Co Cadougan is going to rise up like the Phoenix and drop 8 dimes and 15 points against Cuse including a huge dime to Otule which leads to a 3 point play in the final 30 seconds and we win by 6.    Of course the board will than start praising Cadougan for Wooden Award.

NavinRJohnson

I give villanova's defense a ton of credit for the win, but our PG's remarkable ability to turn the ball over, and just play lousy in general is extremely disappointing. That pass to Wilson when he was all alone under the basket without a defender within 10 feet was a huge swing in that game. Crap like that simply cannot happen. Unfortunately, that was simply the most glaring of several mistakes.
