Members of the coaching staff were quick to point out that Fulce was by far the most athletic guy at Marquette when he was here. If not for injuries, I think he could have been our best player as a junior and senior.

Rosiak likened Fulce to smaller Shawn Marion after seeing him play during open gym sessions when he first arrived on campus.

The Equalizer

There is always a danger with drawing conclusions from one game.

For example, Jamail Jones put up 10 points in 20 minutes last year's opener.  It was his only 10 point game of the season, and he was not part of the rotation by the time Big East play started.

I'm not saying it can't happen for Juan--I'm just saying some tempered optimism is in order until we see what he does against quality opponents.

No argument, 84.   But Juan is going to get minutes this year by default.    Just like Jake Thomas.   So congrats to him on a fine game and let us hope it is a sign of things to come and not an outlier.

And Jamil started with 2 points in 17 minutes last year.

Excellent point.

It's a good thing Buzz didn't put too much emphasis on one game or Crowder never comes to MU.     So, again, let us hope this is foreshadowing and not an outlier.
