Just heard 24 shots in succession. Either someone missed really bad, or someone will be butchering venison till Christmas.

Going to be a cold start this year.  Single digit lows Friday and Saturday night in northern Wisconsin.

Hunting in Douglas county.

Will be thinning out the herd in Door County this weekend.  Best of luck everyone.  Shoot better than MU did last Saturday.

Is it Jagermeister season too?

1.  It is always Jagermeister season

2.  Read the story of the patron Saint of Hunters, and you will learn why the logo is on every bottle:

Amen to that. Don't want any Scoopers shooting any innocent bystanders.

Every time I see the "Stag" I am reminded of the night at a dive in Malibu many great guitarists were jamming and Steve Lukather came and stood next to me at the bar. He was wearing a jaegermeister shirt and camo pants. I asked him if he was "dear" hunting and he said he was as he had his gun and not his rifle.

May you shoot better than MU did last Saturday.

Kro Bar in Brule?  Spent a lot of time there this past winter while snowmobiling.  Great place and a great burger.

A feller could get in lots of trouble there. Ever make it to the Waterfront in Nebagamon?

Pretty quiet opener so far. Might have to run up to the Kro Bar at lunch for some aiming fluid   ;)

Barely no shots around us yesterday... Slowest opening that we can remember at our land in Wautoma. I saw around 20-25 does, but no bucks at all. 3 degrees here in Wautoma to start the day! Good luck!

You saw more than we did.  6 degrees in Douglas county, but no wind.

Our lake froze up last night.

I guess the excitement of a ten pointer brought on the widowmaker for Jay Leggett.

What was the final tally? Scoopers-0  deer -1000?

Read somewhere that the harvest was down in Wisconsin for antlered deer

Hard year to sit all day...Late season bow hunting is next up!

9-pointer on Saturday and 10-pointer on Sunday.  Door County.

First bucks I've ever shot.

Brutal conditions on Saturday with wind and morning snow.  We didn't hunt from several of our tree stands because they were swaying too much.  Didn't want some deadfall or a stand collapse to happen.
