Traveling to New York Questions
« on: July 11, 2007, 11:19:53 AM »
I am flying into LaGuardia at the end of July and need to get to the Upper East Side of Manhattan.  What is the best way to accomplish this?  Thanks.

Bus to grand central - $10

Shuttle to exact location with multiple stops - $13 + tip

Cab to exact location - $30 + tip  (maybe a little less)

If you're willing to spend the money, take a cab.  I don't think you want to be stuck on a bus especially if you arrive during rush hour.

Thanks, I'll go with the cab.  Not cheap, but seems to be the quickest and most direct route.

I guess I am spoiled living in Chicago and having the El stop at both airports.

Didn't NY make a flat rate for all cabs leaving the airport INTO the city?

Yeah, $45 flat from JFK.  I think LaGuardia rates still float.
