Disconcerting, but we'll see what it is. No word on how severe it was.

mother fracker.

Looks like they got called out on something and are trying to get in front of it. Just hope its something minor, like TC was doing with calling a recruit on "accident" the wrong day or something.

The Lens

I've heard from a few people it is something extremely minor / stupid like a t-shirt to a recruit.  More of an oversight than a violation but a violation nonetheless.
The Teal Train has left the station and Lens is day drinking in the bar car.    ---- Dr. Blackheart

History is so valuable if you have the humility to learn from it.    ---- Shaka Smart

GGGG

Well, you don't want to commit these, but it might be a simple secondary violation.  Reporting these are fairly routine and the NCAA essentially accepts them without consequence unless they happen too often.  Madison committed one during its recruitment of Russell Wilson...

Buzz, Larry, and the MUBB staff are not stupid to violate the rules.

Enlund's all over this she-ite!!!!

Bocephys

I think it's because Buzz e-mailed Ners outside of the open recruiting period.

Actually the post is from Don Walker. Probably took time out of staking out local bars for OF AGE patrons to file this report.

Well, the players who were ticketed for being underage in a bar were not of age...

Amazing, Walker must be signed the "MU Negative News" beat...

Yes, correct. UNDERAGE DRINKING... WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!

But his BREATHLESS follow up regarding DJO, who WAS of age,  was so very Ed R. Murrow. Hack.

I don't even click on that site for anything anymore. Why should they even get ad revenue from me? It's such a joke.
Relax. Respect the Process.

We can call these stories Badger Bait.  Cause you know it is going to rile some of those tools up something fierce

This is, I believe, the 2nd infraction in MU history, and the 2nd one reported by MU to the NCAA.  That's the best possible way for these to get reported.  It indicates institutional control.  First instance was providing a player with a campus parking permit outside of regular distribution to students, I believe.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Didn't Majerus give Brookfield Central player Chris Seter and a friend a ride from a gymnasium back in the late 1980's and report that one?

You mean in his POS car, that American Motors Gremlin held together with Proxmire and Lucey bumper stickers?

You guys are soft - down here in sec land we report it whenever a prospect from another school gets a t-shirt, even though our school probably actually paid a third party to give it to him!

All in jest. It's great to belong to a university with such a clean history, and so many pages are added to the NCAA infraction book so often that eventually you are bound to have a minor, unintended violation. Unless we hear it's something more, no worries.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

If I'm not mistaken, MU self-reported a minor violation after Crean, very early in his tenure, attended an unsanctioned high school all-star game or something of that sort. Nothing further came of it.
Hopefully this is something as meaningless as that.
