Not exactly this is how it happened.

And then the committee spontaneously sprouted wings and flew off to form a colony on Mars.

I heard that the committee actually reviews slam dunk contests from various midnight madness' as a tie breaker for seeds.

That's why MU never got in the tourny when Polo was winning the dunk contest.

I agree with Kenosha.    I consider Crean's loss to Kansas State one of his top 10 worst defeats at MU,  considering margin.
