That was an inappropriate decision because there was substantive discussion occurring in the thread.  If we are now going to delete pages of threads because they go off topic, you better get busy.

I disagree, only because we weren't really covering any new ground today.

If anybody missed it, you can look at any of the other "paranoia" threads, and then add in some Hoop vs Ners personal insults.

After lopping off some bad branches on that thread, I've recombobulated a chunk of it in a new thread.   

Much of the final 10-20 posts are gone purposely due to galactic stupidity.

1.  Sultan doesn't like what was stated in a thread and annouces that he is using the 'report to moderator' feature.
2.  Shortly thereafter, the moderator cuts the last 10 pages of the thread.
3.  Sultan tells the moderator that he should not have done that there was good reading material in there.

Am I missing something? 
Are you implying that he should only have removed what you direct him to remove, and not delete material at his own discretion, considering that he does run the site?

I'm implying that he should have dealt with the post that contained the direct insult to another poster and not nuke the thread.

As I stated (though very quickly because I was on my cell phone), I was enjoying a very nice weekend day here in Colorado, and got about 15 "report to moderator" e-mails. Since it was on my cell, and I was quite frankly pissed that a nice weekend was interrupted by a bunch of guys that couldn't moderate themselves, I read to page 3, and lopped off most everything that went OT of JJ transferring.  Sorry if you think that I lopped off something, and therefore your time was wasted by posting it.  Though, I have news for you.  You're wasting time when you're posting.

Topper did rescue you a bit because he's more tolerant than I am   Though I'll now admit that some posts I had deleted from that thread before I split it off, so it's likely +5 more posts that are missing.

Can't speak for all 4 mods, but this has been the most irritating year on Scoop, surprising for a back-to-back S16 season.   Record number of facepalms and muttering f-bombs.  Imagine what it'll be like if we have a bad season.
