AAU updates...
« on: April 28, 2012, 06:51:48 PM »
Looks like Duane is still tearing it up at the EYBL event in Virginia... 3-0 and averaging 30 (43,22,25).

Burton is tearing it up at an Adidas event in Indianapolis.

Buzz is watching him and Poneman giving him a lot of love (and making fun of Buzz's head).

Powderkeg... meet spark.

Back on topic, it is really looking like Duane and (despite rankings) Deonte are running under the radar.  Creating a pipeline to take the cream of Milwaukee's talent is a must, and right now it looks like that pipeline is continuing to grow.  Between Chicago and Milwaukee, Buzz could keep elite talent coming in every year.

I am very excited to see these two young men develop as I believe they have very, very high ceilings.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I am bumping this up simply because it's a much more positive topic to talk about. The Duane-Deonte backcourt could be one of the most exciting backcourts given the talent they are showing at high level aau competition. Couldn't be more thrilled about their potential and future contributions to the program.

Deonte is not a guard. 6'5 athletic/strong 3 type......good rebounder, slasher and shot blocker.

If you have to declare a position (which you don't), calling Deonte a 3 is fine.. he's a player, though.. 3, 4, 2... just get that man on the court
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Burton Wilson Looney and Stone are all elite players that we should get from Milwaukee within the next few years. I already know of some kids looking at NY2LA's website that are top 50 or top 25 prospects from Milwaukee that are in middle school.

Misleading tweet... the game is from the 20th. Free access is for today only I think, otherwise they charge.
