And amnesty we shall have
« on: May 17, 2007, 05:02:36 PM »
This, is why McClain has no chance Murff.  ZERO.

Senate GOP caves in to give ILLEGAL (let's remember that word) immigrants amnesty.  I'm all for LEGAL immigration, I'm hung up on the part where we reward people for breaking laws.  And Bush will sign it in a heartbeat.  Sad.

I agree-----McCain is too old (would be 72 on inaugaration day) and his energy is already on the short side.

The illegals have already been rewarded with jobs------simple solution to the whole thing----enforce the existing law by giving employers 90 days to check their employees's green cards----and everyone without one fired.

But the reality is -----that will never happen----would bring the economy to a halt. with 12 million of them here we have no choice but the 13 year amnesty plan----the key is to prevent a repeat performance!

This is one of those things that makes me mad the Republicans didn't get their act together before November 2006.

.. I did scratch my head when listening to NBC's recount of it tonight, suggesting that this plan, and the amnesty, would allow cheap labor to continue in the US.   -- Um, eventually those path-to-citizenship people are going to assert their rights and demand American wages and benefits.  Hasta la vista, cheap labor.

Yeah,
Maybe we'll see immigrants riding rafts over to China and India after American Industry moves more jobs over seas...

Aren't we insourcing more than outsourcing?
