Except for what I struck out, I could have made exactly the same post.  It's kind of odd reading a post that you could have written yourself...reminds me of the movie Memento.

I suspect the primary difference between our experiences was that because of where I grew up, the ND games that my dad took me to were at Air Force (every other year) and Colorado (once) -- and to the Orange Bowl against Alabama in 1974.  I didn't attend my first game in South Bend until I was at Marquette (the Reggie Ho game against Michigan). Aside from that, every fact in your post applies to me as well.
Still, I was at that ND-UM game too. Watched Reggie Ho kick the 4 field goals and Waters return the punt.

I was also at the FSU game in 93 that Freeport mentioned. Hasn't been much excitement there since then.

Getting back to basketball, I wonder if we couldn't pressure their young guards into turnovers to get some quick points off those. Let's hope we have a higher conversion rate on our bunnies tomorrow too - we must have left about 100 points off the scoreboard this year with all out missed layups and putbacks (and even some dunks).

QuoteYou strike me as an outstanding individual.

Why yes I am proud that I root for Marquette. I wasn't implying that I'm better than those who root for ND.

  But I am outstanding  ;D

I thought the two key numbers from the Seton Hall game were 38 and 1.

38 = number of minutes Crowder played.

1 = number of fouls Crowder committed.

This despite the fact that Crowder had to spend much of the game playing post defense against a good center.

We will need more of the same Saturday, especially with Gardner not expected to play. I'm not great at predictions, but if Jae can stay out of foul trouble and on the court, I like our chances. If he can't, we're toast.

UGH, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.  That's AWFUL.  That's no way to balance out being a WhiteSox fan.
