Syracuse's team has done so many dumb things over the course of the 1st half, hopefully it continues in the 2nd half.

Butler is 2 for 7 and Crowder is 1 for 5 (that wide open 3 miss, ouch) and still have a lead.  That is a great sign.

They can do this.

Plus, we missed multiple shots in the paint after offensive rebounds. Crowder missed a layup.

I just hope we stop trying to make in close passes inside their zone because they are tough to catch and lead to turnovers.

Melo was fortunate to play as much as he had.  Should have had his 3rd as a T in the first few minutes of the game.

Guys - Our defense is really good tonight...great rotations...not giving much of anything to Cuse..takeaway the first 2 3's by Triche and everything has been hotly contested.  Rick Jackson has been a non-factor...

DJO playing inspired defense..Jimmy Butler seeing the passing lanes well.  Need Cadougan to be a little better stopping penetration...Fulce and Vander with some good rebounds and intensity..

We definitely look like the team that is playing harder.  I hope we can sustain for the next 20 minutes..

Best halftime interview of all time, he was asked what the difference was that allowed MU to come back. He stated that they started to play hard, dive on floor, get loose balls, etc. Then finished with the beauty contest line and did a walk off. It. Was. Awesome.

agreed. Thats why I hope the intensity turns into more makes from Jimmy, Jae and Dwight to go along with a couple more DJO bombs. Get the shooting % to around 45 and im feeling really good

They're not fast or real quick in terms of their guards. They can't break us down off the dribble and neither could Xavier. No Johnny Flynn. That's where we have the big advantage in this game and had in the earlier matchup against 'Cuse. Gotta keep it going. If we don't go ice cold I like our chances in the 2nd half.

I agree that many times fans are way too emotional, but they are right. Syracuse's stupidity is why MU is winning this game right now.

His comments on the 5 second call discussion may have been the most bizarre I had seen.  Everyone else was bewildered - talking about replay?  He really seemed out of it, confused.

It is interesting when they talk about the officiating, the great lengths they go to to compliment the officials.  I thougth Pitino was trying to get on the giving end of Porcini's this afternoon.  Sir Charles started out with a long compliment as well.  I am guessing the NCAA had a talk with CBS about this before the tourney started.
