At least we didn't get shipped out to the west coast again.

that graphic just showed it all...we were the last team to get a bye.

i think they looked heavy at 14 losses

I've never seem someone trying harder to pick a fight on a day when his bubble team got in.

EDIT: Restated

Seriously.  What's the point.

Good point .. Cleveland is a 4 hour drive from Cincy.    But .. One would imagine there are Xavier fans all over Ohio.

On the other hand, that's almost like Marquette fans driving to Minneapolis (5 hours) for a MU game.  We all know how that turned out (although it was the 2nd weekend..)

Not just the 2nd weekend, but the Elite 8 Game.  We had good fan support for Thursday, but our winning and Wisconsin losing brought a whole lot more MU fans into the Metrodome.

Poor VT...

Also we have already played 7 of the top 16 seeds. Two of them twice.

Yeah, considering Georgia had one less loss/one more win and they played in a much worse conference.  CBS just stated that were we last 6 in.

mu_hilltopper

By the numbers, we're evenly matched.

KenPom has MU at 33, Xavier at 37.  Xavier should feel screwed!

How did we get screwed?  We're the 11th team from our conference to get in and based on the seeding, probably needed to win at least one if not both Big East games we did just to get into the darn thing.  If you don't want to get screwed, finish in the top 5 or 6 in the conference.

Relative to how the Big 10 teams were seeded and playing in Ohio (even if it's a 4 hour drive from Cincy). Being one of the last 6 teams in, etc.

Coleman

NOT A HOME GAME FOR XAVIER.

I'd rather play in Cleveland against XU than be out on the West coast somewhere.

I really like our draw. We play a 6 seed and then a familiar 3 seed in the midwest to get to the Sweet 16.

Illinois/Michigan/Penn State had 13 losses...

Hards Alumni

Looks like we very easily made it in at 9-9.

Face!

I can't complain. We didn't get the 8/9 game, which to me would've been the biggest disappointment of selection Sunday for me. Second, UW got Belmont in the 1st round and potentially a real dangerous KSU team if they advance to the 2nd round. Third, Xavier isn't that good folks I'm telling you right now. Jason Love put up 20/19 on us last year and they no longer have Jordan Crawford...those two are both gone.

Go Warriors!!!  Fight like there's no tomorrow!!! Go as far as you can go!

You mean like Michigan State and Tennessee?

ceh

Good draw in my opinion.  If you aren't a top 3 seed, you are going to have to play solid teams all the way through.  XU is a good team, but nothing we have not seen all year in conf. play.  Question is, what's up with the Big 10 seeds...IL and PSU are questionable tourney teams.

My thoughts EXACTLY!  This is like the Washington/MU 6/11 last year, except reversed.  We have a pretty decent shot at the 'Cuse, too.  Can't wait!

wojosdojo

We really need A LOT of fans to get on down to Cleveland.

Does anyone know what time we are playing on Friday?

That's one of the reasons I think we got screwed. They used the RPI heavily in seeding, but 12 of our 14 losses were to RPI top 35 teams. Not many teams can claim even playing that many top 35 teams. Using the total resume, we are definitely not deserving of being in the last 6 in.

Blackhat

What's game time?

Might have to go guy's road trip...any good strip club's in Cleveland?

We have a fighting chance on this one. We're well rested, thanks to Louisville. We're ready to go and we're peaking. Xavier won't be easy, but if we play like we did against PC and the Thuggiebear, we'll be saying hello to Mr. Boeheim again.

Let's all plan on sending Mr. Boeheim back to upstate New York come Sunday... for the year!

Looks like XU fans haven't found scoop yet, and also looking on to Cuse a bit.
