ESPN 1000AM had a comment on UW's loss yesterday ....

"No wins and 33 points.  Is this the worst B10 tournament effort ever?"

Good question ... I say yes.

GGGG

Offensively yes.  They did hold to PSU to 36 though.

That's the problem with statistics.  It looks like it was a solid defensive game by both teams when in reality it looked like a masons convention.

Those were 'fundamental' bricks though, taken by traditional players.  PSU and UW-Madison threw up those bricks like basketball players were meant to, like Bo did back in the day.

Do we really need 5 different threads about the UW game last night?  This is why they say we Marquette fans are obsessed with them.

I watched that game with a buddy of mine and we both were pretty buzzed, it was so ugly that it was entertaining and neither of us hates Wisconsin like most on this board does.

Since i haven't attended either university, i'm a big fan of both, i just like Marquette a little more because i live in Milwaukee and can attend MU games much more easily. Plus, while i cheer for all teams in Wisconsin to win, including Badger basketball, their style of play is often just so painfully boring to watch.

They are so reliant on the jump shot to to score points along with Jordan Taylor bailing out offensive possessions late in the shot clock after aimlessly passing the ball around the perimeter for the first 30 seconds. If either their jumpers don't fall and/or Taylor is having an off game, Wisconsin has absolutely nowhere else to turn to for generating offense because none of their other guards/wings can create shots off dribble penetration and they get zero points via transition offense. Think about how this. The Badgers held Penn St. to 33 percent shooting, yet got zero points in transition offense. Incredible.

It's mainly just burn 25-30 seconds off the shot clock and one of Talor, Leuer, or Nakivil takes a long jumper. When those jumpers don't fall as often is the case away from the Kohl Center, about 50-55 points is their ceiling and now 33 is their floor.  :o
