I haven't followed it too closely, but one would think he would be spending more time around the MU team/at the games as of late if he were MU bound.  My money says UNC, and my heart says anything but Wisconsin.  My money also says he takes his buddy from La Crosse with him in a few years.

Why would it matter?  Buzz can't be anywhere near Dave and Busters when Tokoto announces and that pertains to Bo Ryan and Roy Williams as well as it would be a recruiting violation.

It's not going to matter anyway for MU.

We'll know on Wednesday.  If he's at our game vs. Cincinnati, I like our chances.  If not, I won't expect much on Thursday.

I would be absolutely shocked if he picks MU. I think it's pretty obvious that they're making the decision now because UNC is one of those schools that u can't sit around and wait to make a decision. Either you take the scholarship offer now or they find another Top 50 player to take it.

Expecting UNC, but I do like the "Buzz leaves Friday" logic. Still, after the recent visit, I think it almost has to be the Tar Heels. I would be floored if it was Wisconsin. While I'm sure Ryan would be elated to get a natural talent like that in there, when was the last time they put a marginally successful player in the NBA? Devin Harris in 2004? Was that even a Bo Ryan recruit?

If JP is unhappy at UNC (and that IS where he's going) and decides to transfer, UW will be the destination.  He would need to transfer a few more times after that before MU would come into the discussion.

Why on earth would anyone honestly think UW is so far ahead? It just doesn't make sense. Selection Sunday, where does he go? Marquette. Midnight Madness, where does he go? Marquette. I realize we're closer, but these are events where he could go anywhere in the country, and certainly anywhere in the state, and he always comes here. Obviously UNC is the front-runner, but I've never seen anything to indicate that he honestly would have reason to favor UW, a school with zero NBA players in the past 5 years and an offense as exciting as drying paint, over Marquette, a school that has sent 4 players to the NBA (Diener, Novak, Matthews, Hayward) since the last UW player (Harris, unless you call what Alando Tucker had a "career") and plays an up-tempo offense that caters to the athletic wing.

Seriously, can someone give me a rationale or a quote that really indicates Becky has a better chance of getting a signature from Tokoto than we do? And obviously I realize it's 95% UNC if not higher. But honestly, where's the evidence?

I've said he's going to UNC (see above)...but it's not because we're recruiting other wings for 2012.  You can't put all your eggs in one basket, and even if Buzz was informed that he was getting JP, recruiting sites don't update often enough to show that we may have pulled out of some of the wings we are recruiting that we would no longer be recruiting.  Who we're recruiting has nothing to do with where JP is going.

Again, he's a Heel.  Wish he was an Eagle, but can't blame him and wish him the best.
