If you aren't from Wisconsin the place sucks. Especially if you're a Bears fan.

I gotta imagine that nearly every sports bar sucks for bears fans right now.. ;)

Yeah... I'm feeling pretty good to be a Bears fan right now!!  NFC CHAMPIONS BABY!!!

Chicago Bears, 2006-2007 NFC North and NFC Division Champions. I'll take it. Doesn't suck.

I know over the summer when I was at Wrigley, Murphy's Bleachers right behind the seats on Sheffield had a MU monogram logo in the window.

MURFC

From what I understand, the owner of Murphy's went to Marquette.  He is from my class at MU.....not bad....26 years old and owns one of the most successful bars in Wrigleyville.

Jim Murphy passed away in 2003 now his wife Beth runs the show...unless this guy is a Murhpy he's probably a manager.

Murphy's is now run by Jim's two sons as well as Jim's wife Beth. The two sons have also opened up a higher end Irish cuisine restaurant in Chicago and also brew their own beer. One of Jim's son's went to MU (BUAD class of 2001) and he wanted to make Murphy's a MU bar.
But I like to throw handfuls...

Not the biggest fan of Murphys.  Move it out of Wrigleyville and it's just another bar with below average food that costs too much.  That's one thing Schoolyard and Finley Dunne's both have going for them: for bar food, their food is very good.  Schoolyard has those awesome Reuben Wraps and outstanding wings.  Finley Dunne's has a really mean burger.  I'd say if they're looking to make it into a Marquette bar, improve the food quality.

Not that they have to though, the place fills up for Cubs games regardless of what they have.
"Nice helmet!"
"Actually, it's not a helmet, it's a hairmet.  You see, it's got extra room in it so you don't mess up your hairdo."
"I'm going to write you a prescription for two testicles, you get it filled whenever."
