Sports bar in Geneva/St Charles IL area
« on: January 30, 2011, 04:06:52 PM »
Gonna be traveling on business from my home state of CA during week of MU game @ UConn on 2/24, anyone know of good sports bar to catch the game in the Geneva/St Charles IL area?  Game is scheduled to be on ESPN2 that day.  Thanks

Downtown St. Charles:

Beehive- good food, fair amount of tvs. Very accommodating staff.

Geneva- flagstone pub (rt 38 downtown geneva). Lots of tvs, good food and drink deals.

Can't go wrong with either.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I work in St. Charles...the Beehive and Flagstone are great bars, but the only actual SPORTS bar that's worth a damn is Real Time Sports on Randall (just south of North Ave / Rte 64)...and fyi, their Wings are HUGE and PHENOMENAL...Burgers are pretty solid too!

But I'd say hit up Real Time for the game, that's where I go to watch the Warriors during the B-East Tourney and the NCAA's.

I hadn't been there since it was Buds, so I couldn't speak to it. May have to try that place out soon, based on this recommendation.

Highly recommend it...once they took over they put in LCD tv's and large HD projectors throughout the entire bar...it's top notch
