How does Mr. NBA...
« on: November 13, 2006, 10:23:11 PM »
miss a breakaway layup? Not make free-throws when they count. Not run the offense?

How does the coaching staff not run full-court until 39 minutes into the game.

How does are 'excellent' Novak-replacements not make any three pointers? A shooter is a shooter, calling Fitzy and Hayward.

Why wasn't Cubillan shooting?

No feeds to Lott and Barro? They were doing fine scrouging for points, give them the ball more and let them learn.

Love to see the Travis Diener 3-man weave back, and unsuccessful.

Probably one of the worst games I've seen for Marquette, they have no excuse.

TC should have all of them back in the Al tonight practicing. Order up jerseys with no names on the back, let them earn their names.

True...completely agree.

That being said, we did get the W while shooting 29% from the field and 50% from the line. DJ played intense defense when it counted to get us back in the game. Just couldn't buy a basket. Unfortunate because he'll probably end up in the lottery of the draft, but i'm sure he will surprise us once again this year with the strides he'll take as a pure PG.

At least I hope...

won't make any strides if crean doesn;t let him run the point.  crean said in postgame that putting DJ at the 2 for (what seemed like long) periods of time was part of the gameplan because it doesn;t allow the opposing teams to key in on certain players and positions on Defense.  memo to crean: DJ is one of the top 2 POINT GUARDS in college basketball.  give him teh damn ball, like you did when he was a freshman and get out of his way.  10 assists total last night.  i'm pretty sure that would change if you put matthews on the wing and let DJ create shots for his teammates.
