If we got hosed so bad, we should have no problem taking out MSU.  Quit whining and go and win a game for once in the tourney.

Way to be NCAA--now tell me again how many dinners Coach K takes you out to a week?  Your blatant lack of objectivity makes me want to gag on a spoon.  I don't know what else we have to do to get higher than an 8 seed when we've been basically in the top 25 all year..... same as Duke.  Bleck!

We'll beat Michigan St.  That is not the point.  The point is we now have to play NC at NC which will be impossible.  A better more deserving seed would at least gave us some hope for the Sweet 16.

Joke seeds:
Duke-6 With an 8-9 conference record, and we beat them.  They should have been a 9 or 10.

Butler-5 They got hot and won a PRESEASON tournament, including wins over ND before they came around and Gonzaga who was overrated even then.  Then they finished SECOND in the Horizon League and SECOND in the tournament, losing to 14-seed Wright St. TWICE.  It's actually a joke they were included and Syracuse was left out, not to mention giving them a 5 seed.  The selection committee should be fired just for this.  If they actually wanted to make sense they could have switched us with Butler, but an 8 for Butler would have still been too high.  It's a joke that this team, which will lose to a better Old Dominion team, is rated higher than us and Louisville.

Indiana-7 Not a horrible mistake like last year's 6 seed when they were a bubble team.  But their only notable win is against Wisconsin.  Any tournament team should beat Michigan State and Purdue at home.  They also lost the first game of their conference tournament to Illinois.  Again, looking at the name of the school more than anything.

Syracuse is better than all of these teams: Arizona, Purdue, Butler, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Villanova, Illinois, Southern Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, BYU, Xavier, Tennessee, Stanford, Nevada, and maybe even Marquette.  Maybe one or two or those are exagerrations, but they have a reasonable case, and probably an edge, over more than half of the at-large teams.  Using that logic we should be grateful the joke of a committee even included us in the tournament.  How the Big East gets only one more bid than the Big Eleven I don't know.

I think MSU is a dangerous team... its not that fact, but how do you explain Duke a 6 and MU an 8.... it makes no sense... and if your a Badger fan, have fun not making the sweet 16 with the "best team ever assembled at Madison", then have fun in the NIT next year.

Back to this year, the tourney committee really screwed up, not just Marquette, but all over... Drexel AND Cuse should be in before Illinois or Purdue, ND shouldnt be a 6 seed, neither should Louisville.... Texas should be higher, obviously upset about Marquette's place

seems like the committee put every ACC team in their best spot available... Virginia gets a 4 seed, VT a 5, Duke a 6, Maryland a 4(thats a joke)

Ok, the selection committee isn't as big a fan of MU as us.  But we are in.  The only one keeping us from advancing is ourselves.  Lets play with a chip on our shoulders.  We still owe Roy Williams for the blow out when He was at Kansas in the Final Four.

If the players are as p*ssed as me and most others on this board than hopefully they take it to court whip some serious butt in Michigan St and NC.

Assuming UNC gets past Eastern Kentucky that is... could be the first #1 seed upset in the first round!  ;D

ok - so I am dreaming.. but if it did happen, Eastern Kentucky would almost assuredly be out of gas the next day against us  8)  no no.. don't wake me yet.. this is a nice delusion to get me through the next few days.. anyone know where I can get any Eastern Kentucky fan gear?

dont understand the panic.  Did we want to reach the sweet 16 by playing cupcakes or did we want to earn it?
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Unbelievable. How can the committee honestly say that we deserved a better seed last year than we did this year? Any way you look at it what we did this year warranted at least a six seed. Let's prove them wrong this weekend.
