I did not realize that Vandy is ranked #24 in the AP until this morning.  Not that it should matter...  But for some reason it makes me want to win even more.

Forward Lance Goulbourne (6.7 rpg) has been suspended for two games by the NCAA for receiving improper benefits. He sat out the win vs. Middle Tennessee State and he'll sit tonight, too.

I see this game very similarly to our game vs. Tennessee a couple of years ago. That is, we're competitive and keep it to about 10 points, but never a threat to win.

Some of the NCAA rules are ridiculous. A student can't BUY a parking pass from someone? What if a staff member's family owns a convenience store in the area... can a player not purchase gum there?

More cases where people don't want to take the shot, unless it's a bad, off-balance shot. Buycks is the only guy out there who looks like he has a clue, that floater was nice.

Now it is clearer to me why Otule gets such limited minutes.  He has hands of absolute stone....you can't even get it in to him as he will fumble it.  Makes me miss Burke who could at least catch and jam it.  He is also out of position on help-side defense and rebounding.  Wow.

The real possibility exists that MU just isn't any good.

It's hard to be a good team when the defense flat out STINKS.
