I am a huge Buzz supporter but this is one of the worst coached MU teams I have seen in a while.  Sure we are athletic and can get to the rim but what about fining the open man, hitting an open jumper, boxing out...  WTF!

Blue can get to the hoop, but doesn't always go as strongly as he should. 

IMO, MU just isn't talented enough to beat a good team.  And Vandy is a good, but far from great, team.

And a close loss is just a loss, period.

This is the thing that he sucked at in his one year at UNO, his defense was atrocious there.   It's slowly creeping into Buzz's program,, no f**king defense.

How much is coaching and how much is execution and the players?   Considering Butler has deferred and is not stepping up as the senior stud leader we had hoped for and DJO is just not the DJO expected....MU is almost playing from behind on the opening tip.

Agreed but when you have a Buycks acting like he is auditioning for an AND1 team, there is no boxing out, and guys playing defense with their hands and not their feet... that's on the coach.  DJO starting VERY cold is not on Buzz and guys missing FTs and jumpers is not on Buzz.  But coaches have to teach players how to run an offense and find the open guy.  I don't see open jumpers.

Anybody can try and teach anything.  Some are more effective than others at getting their point/fundamentals to hold.
