The best part was that the gym they left was the Al McGuire Center.

This whole thing has me intrigued. I wonder what was said/happened.

Either way, what a great opportunity for the guys to be able to play with/against that type of talent on campus.

^ agreed

DJO basically said that Arroyo told them that they were going to scrimmage.

I'm guessing Arroyo was impressed by Jae's game so he told him "we will meet again" in reference to the NBA.

Either way, must have been a ridiculously exciting experience for the team!

I know Blue asked Wade for tickets to the heat-bucks game for the team (via twitter), and I'm beginning to think that Wade took it to the next level. Gotta love that guy =)

Lemme rephrase that, Vander asked Wade if the team could "research" Wade's competitive strategies.

The whole thing was about DJO and Crowder taking offense to Wade and friends wearing IU shorts on our turf.

Old running joke.  A bunch of posters were upset when D-Wade was on TV once wearing IU shorts.

Little did we know that it was D-Wade cursing IU, leading to Coach Crean's 5-31 conference record after the first two seasons.

Good on you, DWade!

I really think MU needs to teach and educate the players on how to use their social networking sites appropriately and in a manner to not get them in trouble. I have been shocked by a number of things some of these players have tweeted and posted on FB!

I follow almost every MU player on Twitter, and haven't been shocked by anything.

Here is the daily routine for most MU players on Twitter.

Around 8am, EST "THANK YOU GOD FOR ANOTHER BLESSED DAY!!!"
Around 11am, EST "In this class waitin' 4 like 5 min cuz prof is late #smh
Around 2pm, EST "bout to smash this jimmy johns"
Around 4pm, EST, "just finished practice and lifting, G.T.S.T
Around 7pm EST, "Banging new Drake n T.i #chillmode
Around 10pm, EST, just smacked @(insert teammate) at NBA 2K11, KOBE KILLIN IT!!!!
Around 12pm, EST, #sleepmode

And repeat.

This is very accurate.  They get up early and most are to bed early.  Lots of naps.

WUUUZZ GOOOOOD?

I can follow most of it, but the term 'bang' is used in a strange way... have seen a lot of college aged kids say stuff like, 'just banged these cheetos'.. or, 'im bout to bang this pizza'.. I believe they mean they are eating it quickly... but, sounds madd questionable.  I realize it sounds silly to think someone would really 'bang' food the way I define bang, but then I think back to ZFB this summer and the 'trick' he did with a turkey sub (toasted) and realize some people really do bang food.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

I am confused. did they scrimmage each other or did the Heat just show up for a late night session at the Al (as they ahve done in the past)?

Is it legal, from the NCAA's viewpoint, for a program to scrimmage a professional team, in season?

How about this... guys are playing with some Heat guys... as they are leaving together, Arroyo shows up and makes some smart a$$ comment about 'oh you guys were scrimmaging, not playing a pick up game.. you cheaters... '

Maybe joking around, but took it too far.

so a scrimmage is cheating? What the hell would Arroyo care!??! Definitely sounds like a player from Florida International, starting fights and what not.

I vote for JB's explanation.  I imagine "scrimmaging" against any team, pro or NCAA, without consent from the NCAA is considered a NCAA violation.  Arroyo using that term, if made in public, or on Twitter, even playfully, if true, will have to be self-reported to the NCAA.

You aren't giving fans enough credit. After all, they can determine the value of recruit, his strengths, weaknesses, etc. from a 30 second highlight video. This should be a piece of cake.  ;D

Have you guys never played pick-up basketball? You always end up hating the guys you play against unless you know them. What probably happened is Jae made some defensive stop and Arroyo probably just said you got no game besides fouling, or something like that, and they probably started jawing at each other.

That is not true.  ZFB met his boyfriend Raul playing pick up basketball against him.  There is no hate in that relationship, although they are known to get a bit rough with eachother.
