Mike Kelley on defense

Yes, he's a UW guy, but he does color for Marquette games sometimes.
Regardless, check out this post with Kelley giving his thoughts on defense.

I know he's a Badger, but I like when Mike Kelley does the color for MU games. He knows hoops and you can tell he actually follows MU during the season, which is nice.

Doesn't he somehow have a connection to MU bball?  did his sister play on the MU women's team?  Or was he a ball boy for MU when he was younger? Either that or I'm vastly misremembering something.

I ran into Mike at a Starbucks in Phoenix last March (sweet 16 weekend). He was there with a girlfriend on vacation (at least I don't think he was working). I introduced myself as an MU fan and he couldn't have been nicer.

Whoa! He's married with 4 kids. He was in AZ on a family golf outing.

His wife had a volleyball scholarship to MU. I think she left for UW after one year. He considers MU his home town team (far below UW however) and pulls for us (much more now, than when Crean was here).

Must have been smoking hot if he allowed her to take him into a stupid coffee shop.  Wonder who Lennys was with.

I'll take him over Simpkins, that's for sure.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Pretty. 8+ by normal standards. 9+ by MU standards.

I was out there golfing with a bunch of high school friends. When we first started these trips 30 years ago it was 36 holes followed by 8 solid hours of drinking, gambling and other sorts of general mayhem. Now it's a leisurely 18 preceeded by a coffee shop and followed by dinner, college basketball and bed. I don't even remember when exactly those guys all suddenly got old.

I played AAU with Mike.  His wife played bball at MU, they both were the state players of the year their senior year in high school.  She transferred after her sophomore or freshman season.  He was also an MU ball boy in his younger years.

I'm having trouble understanding the entire concept of a "family golf outing."  The LAST people I want to see on my golf outings are my family!

easy now.  I know that it is easy to confuse me and my boy 4never, but he's more of the ball boy type.

If you knew his dad and brother-in-laws, you would understand the concept. Great bunch of guys to golf and party with.

I loved playing golf with my wife until she started beating me. I already knew i was not good at golf, but that really confirmed it.

I hope that means she shoots in the 70s (low 80s would be OK I guess).
