I'll admit, there's nothing at stake in this contest (other than pride), but I thought it might be fun to predict where Lazar will go in the Draft.

He appears to be moving up the draft boards of a lot of so-called experts, but I still think he'll last until the late second round.

Prediction: #49 to San Antonio

Prediction: #49 to San Antonio

He'd be a great fit in the San Antonio system/culture..seems like a Spur type of player/character guy.  This would be my best guess too.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

2nd round: no worse than mid 2nd round, probably higher than mid.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Skatastrophy

Lazar will go 3rd in the NBA draft tonight.  Truth.

Agreed. My prediction was somewhere in between an actual guess and wishful thinking. I'm actually worried the T-Wolves will take him at 45.

goodgreatgrand

T-Wolves at 56. Why? Dunno...but its the Twolves which is a good enough reason.

Actually, seeing Jonny Flynn, Wes johnson and Lazar on the floor at the same time would be neat....for the 5 seconds I watch the NBA on an annual basis.

Lake Show at #43.  Lazar as insurance for Artest going postal.

#36 to Detroit

Fits their "shut up and go to work" attitude.

lab_warrior

Trying to decide between #49 to the Spurs or #52 to the Celtics.

sellit07

#49 to Spurs. I think he could actually see floor time by going here.

I am not a troll and maybe it's just a flashback to last year, but I have a really bad feeling we won't hear his name.  I hope I'm wrong.

avid1010

I'm thinking/hoping the Bucks use one of their three 2nd round picks on him.

#32 to the Miami Heat

+1

Am still angry that the Heat did not pick one of the amigos with their multiple second round picks last year.

You are 5 years behind. This is a team that signed ben gordon and CV last year to a lot of money and shipped Billups away the year before. They aren't the Pistons that had prime Wallace/Wallace/Prince/Hamilton/Billups.

Bad spot for Lazar. He would instantly be behind CDR and Maggette, who are strong SF's. Bucks need a guy who can be a great spot up shooter.

My gut feeling is that we will be pleasantly surprised. No worse than 36th.

ehhhh maybe.  CDR is a nut job, and both of them are really only concerned with scoring.

agreed.  That work went out the door when John Hammond became GM of the Bucks and left Joe Dumars in charge in Detroit.

I'm trying to think of a a good example of Lazar and am having trouble. Would you say a "better shooting, but less likely to get charged with a felony Ruben Patterson" work?

MUBurrow

39 to the Knicks. they have no idea what their team will look like next year, but D'Antoni is pretty sure he can find room for a versatile guy who can defend and run the floor. and will be on the cheaps.
