So yeah, I bashed the opening intro a while ago, but here is a PERFECT example of my worst nightmare. MU do not try to one up this one. Glad whoever gave this the green light isn't at MU, that's for sure.

Its no worse than that music video of the Marquette students that was posted here a month or so ago.

Oh, and I hate the new eagle logo. The old one atleast somewhat stood out, this one just blends in with all the other side-profiles of animals used in hundreds of other University logos

Not surprised whatsoever. I myself love that video because it's hilarious. It's the exact opposite of what I would want MU to be.

Who is in charge of stuff like that eagle head logo? Seriously, it is the most cookie cutter piece of garbage ever.

I wish MU did a better job of branding and marketing itself.

The reason our logo is a lame, "cookie cutter" image is because our freaking nickname is an complete embarrassment!! Do you young guys not understand that Marquette Warriors was as strong a brand nationally as UCLA Bruins, Indiana Hoosiers and North Carolina Tar Heels!?!?! It's absurd!

Our logo should be a caricature of Father DiUlio standing behind prone alumnae with a predatorial look on his face. It's the biggest face cake the university has ever administered and until they correct it, it will always hang over the athletic program.

Nightmare, I agree. when i was contacted about possibiliites by MU I let them have it for this PC nonsens. I told them to change the Warrior to a European. I reminded them that ND had no problems with their mascot . Quite the opposite -they were PROUD to be the"Fighting Irish"

The stupid logo was chosen to be similar to the southern miss logo....the powers at be thought it was "fierce" and represented the image the athletics program wanted to put out....but it sucks
