He posted this after the game today, "ok buzz I see you keeping marquette relevant. Make me wish I woulda stayed sometimes" I was so excited when we landed him despite his domestic problems since then. Any one else wish he could have stayed?

avid1010

I wish he could have stayed and prevailed through his issues....it's always sad to see a kid with so much talent make such poor decisions.  While not exactly comparable situations, I feel the same way about J-May.

mu_hilltopper

The McGuire Center really needs a .. "Hallway of Regret" featuring players who left MU and later realized their error.

Coleman

No. F that guy.

Leaving and then regretting it AFTER he sees we continue winning is not the definition of a team player.

Good riddance and enjoy Minnesota. NIT

what is the rhyme or reason to this post?

Hey Vikings, I like what you've done with the basement.

"Lazar Hayward. The L stands for leader, and the W stands for winner, Lazar Hayward is a winner."

Spaniel with a Short Tail

Liking that  "Hallway of Regret" idea!

mu89

i admit i do feel kinda bad. you never want a person to look back and regret something as big as that. i feel like jimmy really took what would've been his role. some might disagree. jimmy even took his number which is kind of ironic. i'll take jimmy any day of the week though.

ATWizJr

bye trev. don't call us....we'll call you.

It wasn't too long ago that TT was posting about his displeasure at KU.

Mystery solved thanks to the reporter that looks like Tom Crean's son

Parrish:  What the hell does "point plankn " mean?

TT:  You mean point blank?

Parrish:  No. I meant point plankn. That's what you wrote on Facebook. You wrote point plankn.

TT:  It was supposed to be point blank.  It's a lyric from a rap song.

Of course, how could winning a national title compete with this kind of a fun run?

Tyshawn - may you prosper and be recruited over every year.  Amen.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Tugg Speedman

ok, help me here ...

Didn't Trevor's "domestic problems" start after he left and went to Miami?  Or, was he having "domestic problems" here?

Had he stayed, would he had a strong enough support system around him here (as opposed to Miami) to avoid this?

muarmy81

His major issue (sexual assault charge) happened while he was at Miami.  He had a "baby-mama" situation while at MU but I don't think there were any issues with that while he was in MKE.

I am looking at my keyboard, first where the "p" is and then where the "b" is.  OK, this was not a typo...

Yep, what a dope.

Ditto!  Just too funny.

Who would be enshrined in the Hallway of Regret?

ODB
Carlton Christian
Dameon Mason
Trebor Mbakwe (?)

I don't think Amo regretted leaving. Nor Karon Bradley. Or Kevin Menard. Mortensen didn't have a choice.

Speaking of Menard, his situation reminds of Roseboro's. Except Buzz at least had the foresight to recognize Roseboro didn't belong and gave him the chance to go play right away for another D-1 program.

I was always hoping Jim Chones would make that list, but I understand why he did what he did.  Doc Rivers as another.

Any idea of what Mortensen is doing?

Thought he was banned from NCAA...roids or gambling...anyone know?

Ron Howard would have had a shot to be a starter for two years after DWade left, but left to be a starter at Valpo.  He still did well enough to get invites to NBA camps and play overseas, so who knows.

Marshall Williams was only here for a few months, but he went from contributor at NC State as a freshman, to possibly being on the Final Four team at MU, to being asked to leave UWGB and ending up at NAIA Georgetown College....all because he didn't want to sit out a year and rehab his knee.

If you go back far enough, Zack McCall has to regret how things turned out.  He could have been a major contributor the next two years, but after the drug bust no other schools were willing to take him and he had to go the NAIA route(where he was an All American).
