I don't know if anyone posted this, but i like the potential match up

One Nerd to Rule them All - Bears - Blackhawks - Bulls - Cubs - Golden Eagles

Yup been posted already but it is a great draw. The only thing that would make it better would us being the 11/6 game and getting new mexico before duke.

Wisconsin vs Louisville would be an interesting matchup. The Badgers could kill the Cards with fundamental basketball and take advantage of mistakes, or if Louisville plays to their potential they'd have a very good chance at winning. Louisville and UConn are going to be two teams that lower seeds won't want to face.

Fixed for you.

Some of this seeding is absolutely ridiculous. Georgetown is a 3 and we are a 10? Give me a break--we are tied with them in conference and own the tiebreraker. Lunardi's seeding is suggesting that conference results have nothing to do with seeding.

Not getting this rationale at all.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

Gtown also has pounded Nova, Duke, beat Butler, Washington(good at time) etc......They will go down now thanks to that ND loss but they were fine as a 3.

When all is said and done, I think MU deserves an 11 seed...and placement in San Jose! :)

I don't think a lower seed will fear MU at all.  A team that lost to DePaul won't scare anyone.

That said, MU doesn't really have a great win this season, so they're do, and the NCAA is a great place to get it.

Have to disagree with this statement.  MU is one of a few teams that hasn't lost by double digits.  Then, close losses @ Nova, @ Cuse, and four straight road wins in the Big East.  Do you think if MU is a 11 or 12, a 5 or 6 seed will be happy to see them? I don't.

PGsHeroes32

I cant see any 5/6 seed being pleased to se MU or Uconn. Both teams are playing very well with Uconn being very talented and MU yet to lose a game handly. Add on the fact that alot of higher seeds this year are mid majors/non power 6 confernce teams.

I don't think anyone should fear Syracuse either. Afterall, they lost to a Division 2 team this season.

MU doesn't have a great win this season? How about beating Gtown, or winning at UConn?

NCWarrior85

Agree, have to question the seeding.  Xavier a 5 seed?  I see them more as a 7.

When you look at the records and conference affiliations of the teams seed #1-#4, I think it becomes apparent that this is a down year in college basketball. West Virginia is a 2 seed with a 21-6 record. Georgetown is a #3 seed with a 19-7 record (they will probably drop with the loss yesterday). Ohio State is a #3 seed with a 22-7 record. Temple, BYU and New Mexico are all top 4 seeds.

There are just few dominant teams this year. If we get the right match-up (or even if we don't), we could make a run in the tournament. There are just very few teams that are head and shoulders above the field. The key is to not play the #1s as long as possible, but other than that, there aren't a lot of teams in the bracket that scare me. I wouldn't be shocked if we see a 5+ seed make it to Indy this year.

Note: Please do not confuse my statement with some sort of bold prediction that we're going to win the whole tournament. That's not what I'm saying. More like, we should have the opportunity to win a couple of games if we bring our "A" game.
