A peek behind the vote
               

There's been some curiosity among some in recent weeks regarding the Associated Press' media poll, the Marquette Golden Eagles and their place in it.

Until this past poll, released on Monday, Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News had been the lone voter in the nation to place MU in his weekly top 25 since Big East play began, and despite the Golden Eagles' rocky start that saw them open 2-5.

This week he voted MU 15th and was joined by a second voter, Keith Sargeant of Gannett Newspapers in New Jersey, who placed the Golden Eagles 25th.
