Just interesting to see the big graphic at the top of the MUSCOOP website.....

got me thinking.  do you'all think that if the game was 67-66 - MU would have still lost?

i think that MU gives themselves the best chance to win when the games are in the 65-85 pt. range.

thoughts????

I would agree that the higher the pace, the better chance we have winning - we are small and we need to use our quickness and speed to pull us through against bigger teams. Looking back at FSU, I do not think pace was the problem.  We did not shoot well: 38.9% from the field, 22.2% from the arc, and 52.6% from the line.  Increasing those percentages will yield scores that reflect a higher pace.  I'm sure the awesome stats guys that contribute here could give a much better comparison of the pace of this game to others if they so choose.

The boys were exhausted in the second half.  We need a deeper bench to play the pace we play if we are going to have 4 games in 6 days.

I think foul trouble had a lot to do with it too.  Hayward had 3 and was pigeon held for a while

Butler ended with 1 foul and Hayward with 3.

They were tired, which effected them on defense, offense and the free throw line. I felt Hayward threw up some untimely threes. To me it was because he was tired. Much easier to shoot a three than try to battle inside when you are dead tired. MU needs to give Williams some minutes, so the other players can get more rest.
