LOL....that is one poll....there was a second, plus an entirely new thread, plus other threads, fire Wojo threads, etc, etc....but you continue to link it to one poll with a small sample size in which MANY didn’t even vote and ignore all the others.  LOL

Show me any poll where "many predicted a bottom half finish and maybe the NIT"

I am concerned, but we were dogs in 2/3 games and the other game was against the hottest team in the nation.  No excuses - we still mostly sucked in those games and its concerning, but its not like all three were games we were supposed to win.

Georgetown is not a must in the sense that if they lose, they're going to miss the tournament.  But I could see the argument that its a win the program really needs to stop the bleeding and get trending back in the right direction for March.

It's a must win in the sense that it's the easiest game left on the schedule, we need another win to clinch a NCAA berth, and most of all we just need some positive momentum.

There aren't any true must wins unless we lose the next 3, in which case SJU becomes a must win. But if we don't win tomorrow I'll pretty much accept that the ceiling for the year is one-two more wins and a first round tournament loss. And it will show this current skid is quickly turning into a real collapse.

Show me where I said poll and I will oblige.  I didn’t.

How did those teams respond to those losses? Creighton rattled off 5 in a row and Nova 7 in a row.

That's the difference.

How did we do after our 1-3 start?

They lost three games to good / great teams with two of them on the road.

Yes, and when we were 1-3 what did we do?

Creighton is a better team than us...oh well.  So is Villanova.  I am not losing one ounce of sleep that is the case this year.  Last year we were better than Creighton.   Sports.

Creighton is very good, Nova is good and Providence is OK. None are “great”.

OK, cite preseason posts that predict NIT or no tournament.

Here's Ken Pom. I guess the BE was only supposed to be a one-bid league...

#8 Villanova
#17 Marquette
#18 Xavier
#20 Seton Hall
#31 Providence
#33 Butler
#36 Creighton
#56 Georgetown
#77 DePaul
#95 St. John’s

Sports Illustrated has us picked 4th. BE Coaches picked up 4th. 2 of ESPN's 4 writers picked us 3rd, 1 had us 4th, 1 had us winning the conference. CBS had us 6th, so maybe them?

Actually it's kinda fact. I guess you could argue providence isn't good. Certainly not bad. The other are obviously good unless top ten is mediocre still. Creighton's on fire. Just stop being some entitled whiner. Are we gonna get a coach that never loses to two top 15 teams in a row? Never lose a road game to providence? This is just childish goofiness. At least wait the season out ffs

Dont care if its a fact  they are also excuses made by excuse makers like you. You can celebrate Wojos mediocrity. I expect better performance. Two straight years of caving down the stretch. I never said what you are claiming. But go ahead and pontificate your smug aloof opinions about entitled whiners. And of course we can wait to see how the season plays out. Have no choice. But you know that deep down inside you have the concerns and worries that your coach is not cutting the mustard. The performance already is .painfully obvious.

I'm not uber optimistic about the rest of the way but the teams certainly got a shot

This whole thread is TL:DR.  All I have to say is, tomorrow brings a new game and the beginning of the rest of a great season that will leave a lot of people satisfied in the direction of the program.  I see us closing out the conference season strong, possibly all wins.  Conference tourney will be game shy of championship.  Tournament we see a sweet 16.

We Are... Marquette...!
