I agree about his age and feelings about name. I still loved his reaction to Gold name when the reporter questioned him on the change.

I still remember where I was at that moment... my fellow New-warriors.com brother called me as I was waiting for the Metra train to Chicago in Lake Forest.  It was more dismay and shock than disapointment at that moment as we knew there was no way Gold would fly!

A day that lives in infamy.  I'm sure everyone remembers where they were.  I was on a business trip in Ft. Lauderdale with a friend who'd gone to Syracuse.  We commiserated over several beers about the embarrassment of rooting for teams named the Gold and the Orange.
