A few things...About a minute and a half into that highlight clip, I was wondering if he could dunk (or was he a Charles Oakley clone).

I like his game, but showed waaaaaaaay too much hesitation for a man his size in a high school arena.  I like the ball fakes, but there comes a point when you have to power that ball up.

Did you not watch the last 1.5 minutes of the clip?  The dude has absolute hops and the ability to crush it home.  What I found so impressive about the clip was his ability to finish around the rim with a variety of moves... skyhooks, lay-ups, turnaround jumpers, etc.  Then the 2nd half of the clip showed his ability to catch and finish very strong with dunks.  There's not a doubt in my mind that he'd get heavy minutes as a freshmen.  He's a very impressive player and something that I have not seen from a MU big man in the past 20 years.

Well, at least at the moment, heading to Florida rather than going to the Memphis game is better for us.  Of course, any visit at this time, with decision time by Wednesday, could be the endgame.  We will have to wait and see.

I was reading the Memphis board and one poster seems very confident that Tarik is heading to Memphis and could make a decision very soon. I don't know if he is someone with a lot of connections and has supplied them with a lot of information, like an IWB or bma for us. Hopefully it is more of a hunch than anything and not anything definitive. Would love to see him at Marquette.

Thanks for the info but isn't TB on an official recruiting visit to UF?  It would be hard to believe that it was only be for an overnight or that he came home after one night and was ready to commit.  I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

..from the wonderful Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN.  I only assume it's wonderful - I've seen the Duck Walk, or whatever its called, but only at the Orlando location.. I think there is also one in Arkansas.  

Whoever it is committing, I hope he works the ducks into the announcement.

They said it would probably give them the number 1 recruiting class. I think Tarik would be a huge get, but is he big enough to push them ahead of Barnes and UNC? Hopefully it is Kenderick because I got very excited at the thought of Tarik joining our team.

If its Kendrick, then that is some recruiting class.  Will Barton #1 SG, Joe Jackson, #4 PG, and Kendrick #2 SF and the  6ft 8 Hippo guy. Along with their current roster, wow....

 Tarik Black did head down to Florida.  I think he was 95% of the way to a decision pre-trip, and hopefully tomorrow or Monday it's 100%.  Don't know if I can wait til Wednesday if it goes that long!!!

 Kendrick is a huge signing for Memphis.  He will not have a problem handling his biz, no matter what the Marshall, Eastern Carolina and Central Florida types throw at him.
